Good point, Ceber. I think he needs to get stronger though...he'd be better at protecting the puck, all sorts of stuff.

Now on page 9 this thread is getting pretty lenghthy with the draft over a month away. Should we start a new one and let this one float in the archives? I'll make a decision based on the responses sometime on Sunday.

I'd let this one slide. Are all the commonly-looked-at final rankings in yet? At least, the ones that are available without paying? Could make a new thread with links to those when they are.. Just a thought.

Here's what TSN has to say: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/draft/feature.asp?fid=9253
In the System
Mikko Koivu, C
Saku's brother hits training camp this year after military service and three seasons with Turku in Finland.

Patrick O'Sullivan, C
O' Sullivan has turned heads all year with his heroics at the 2004 WJHC and the 2004 OHL playoffs.

Josh Harding, G
The Wild's top goaltending prospect backed up Marc-Andre Fleury at the 2004 WJHC.

Matt Foy, RW
Foy tallied 24 points in 51 games with Houston of the AHL after his 132-point season with the OHL's 67's.

Kyle Wanvig, RW
Wanvig played 72 games with the AHL Aeros and also played six games in Minnesota.

What they may look for:

As much as the Wild could use an offensive infusion, many of their top prospects are forwards and leaving the team's defensive depth wanting. A puck-moving power play quarterback or a more aggressive physical presence would both be valuable additions to the team.

What about an offensive defenseman? Anyone think that's likely? All reports from the team still point towards a forward, but who knows? Some think Meszaros is underrated, especially on these boards. CSS had him at 7th among Europeans. Sounds like a good skater and puckhandler. Plus, he's from Trencin.

I wouldn't mind any of the dmen available except maybe Valabik(sp?) and O'Neil. At least not at the #12 pick. Smid, Thelen, and Meszaros would be fine at #12 but like I said, I don't think Thelen will be around at #12.

Only 4 weeks to go for the draft.

Dude the guy must not be looking very hard at our defensive prospects.
