I'm kind of surprised... why isn't he playing in the AHL? By his choice or no contract renewal?

The AHL is an awful league.

Murphy wasn't an "upside" guy. Just another Lou scrounging for bodies signing.

McKenna is being kind. Murphy had a rough post-season. He turned the puck over trying to break out of the zone when the Devils had a 5-on-3 PP, that led to a SHG against right after the Devils had just scored to cut the deficit early in the third period. Shortly after, Taormina and I forget who else took consecutive delay of game penalties to give the Sharks a two-man advantage. I thought that killed any chance of a comeback in the series. That was not the only gaffe Murphy made, but it was the most memorable. I thought Murphy would be continuing his journeyman's journey.

Very possible. Goalies are often tight with their defencemen, and it makes sense.

Nice.

Reminds me of a little. Angels vs. Devils.

Now Trenton needs their own unique "T" horn logo rather than just the words with the same logo as the big club.

The "Team" Link on the Albany site goes back to the NJ Devils site, but they show the Albany "Roster". Interestingly enough, Henrique, Young and Gelinas have all been added, but Josefson, Tedenby and Kelley have not.

This seems to imply that both Josefson and Tedenby will go back to play on their swedish teams if they don't make the team.

Doesn't explain Dan Kelley though. I wonder where he fits in?

Well, I know that Lou has an agreement with Djurgardens to loan them Josefson if he doesn't make the team. I suspect he has a similar agreement with Hv-17 for Tedenby.

I think it's a little early to be saying things regarding the roster based on the AHL website and all of its updated glory. We'll see but I've all but given up on predicting Lou's moves.

Lowell's dead. Time for a new thread.

Now that it's official, is it time to close this thread and create the "Prospect Info 2010-11 Albany Devils & Trenton Devils Thread" ... ?
