Ordered tix to my 1st Home game!

Yes, I finally did the big spash and deciced this season to travel the 4500+ kilometeres (2800 or so miles) to attend a home game! I've got tickets to the Feb 9th game versus the Canucks, so I'm very excited.

I decided to sort of suprise my girlfriend with these tickets (who's a Canuck fan, hence the game I decided on) and sorta say, 'Hey, we're going to Florida for hockey in Febuary' and escape the snowy weather here.

So I hope to meet some or all of you local Tampa fans, if your going to be attending the game or in the area that week.

Man, it still hasn't sunk in I'm finally gonna see a home game!

Haha, we're not driving, just taking a long ass flight. I really hope we can all meet up, I want to experience as much as I can in my short time. Just some warm and sun in February would be a nice change from the snow and darkness here that time of year.

I'm aiming to come on the weekend, then have Mon/Tues in Tampa then fly home on Wed.

Oh, and I changed my username back since Ramo is in the KHL now.

I envy you. I convinced my wife to do a similar trip when our kids are older and do the whole Florida experience. a few lightning games, Disney, Universal, et all spend a few weeks there. However considering our son is only 10 months that won't be for a few more years.

Haha, that's gonna be a while man. My trip was sorta by me mentioning going to see a concert that was sold out here in town, to buying tickets to a Lightning game the next day. I'm never usually that impulsive, haha

What the hell, you only live once, and it's a chance to go see the Bolts live and escape winter. I'll worry about paying the Mastercard bills later

We are heading down for our first game this year as well.... we are flying in from the other side of Canada, Newfoundland.

Can't wait as its my husbands first NHL game all together so he is pumped.

We are headed there for the game vs. the leafs on Nov. 25. Its actually our honeymoon..... so we had to make sure to get a hockey game in on our honeymoon!

kinda cheating posting in this thread as technically not my first game (07-08 season home opener v NJD) but i'll be going to my 2nd 3rd and 4th games ever the first games of this season (njd/car/fla) during my 2 week hols to Orlando. Panthers game got tickets 9 rows up from the glass in between the benches really can't wait
