Watched him play against the Bandits today and he was the best player on the ice. Very good skater, creative, decent shot, and possesses a high compete level. Seems to be a good character player who, unlike some other higher profile player in the league, doesn't get frustrated with teammates with lesser ability.

As i've watched for a while now, I think I can make a good list of the top players from the three sask. leagues.

GSHL:
1. Austin Calladine
2. Matt Mcleod
3. Dexter Bricker
4. Stuart Symenuk
5. Robbie Cameron

SSMHL:
1. Cory Millette
2. Ty Mclean
3. Justin Spagrud
4. Tyson Predinchuk
5. Tim Mcgauley

CFHL:
1. Craig Leverton
2. Jordan Tkatch
3. Kayle Doetzel
4. Jason Duret
5. Jaryd Watson

This is in my opinion, If you don't agree please feel free to speak your mind and help make a better list.

whoshouldbescouted, you always talk about the Dominic kid, you are either his father or Dominic himself trying to get scouts to look at you, every single post is about him, ive never heard of him or seen him play, he would be playing somewhere unreal if he is as good as you say.... is he going to make the U-16 Alberta team?

Agreed. Now Tanner Cimino is a AA playr that may Legitimately attract some scouts. He's really lighting up the Edmonton AA league. Something like 25 points on 9 games.

Haven't seen enough of the other leagues to form an opinion but for the GSHL:

1)Stuart Symenuk
2)Matt McLeod
3)Dexter Bricker
4)Branden Scheidl
5)Adam Oscvevski

I think Robbie Cameron has looked good too and he just missed making my top 5. As for Calladine, he has as much or more talent than anyone in the top 5, but to me he's just been a little too erratic for my tastes.

As for the other leagues, i recognized all your names except for Predinchuk and Doetzel. Could you tell me who they play for and what kind of game they play? Also, from the one game i saw them play head-to-head, i would take Preymack over Watson.

I am assuming that Alex Forsberg is not on anyone's list because he is playing Midget hockey. are there any other Bantam aged players playing Midget in Saskatchewan and where would they rank against the players listed in the three regions if you included them in their region?

Give your head a shake. Hes got zero points in 6 games in AA. A decent (not even a good) AAA guy would be ripping it up.

Any surprises?

Well, for starters I see 5 of the top 6, Philp, Morris, Descheneau, White, and Chase are not on the top 50 list [that started this thread], although White made the Nov. 6 updated list [separate thread]. Granted there is more to the game than scoring, but all these kids seem to be doing VERY well in Alberta's best bantam league. I haven't seen a lot of discussion on here about any of them?? Any opinions on these 5 kids?

Descheneau is simply a hard working kid that is a great team player. He's talented with his hands and can skate, but its his work ethic so far this season that has caused the good results.
Chase has always been a kid that other teams try to focus on to knock him off his game. Even more so this year he has been willing to skate to the tough areas on the ice to pick up points.
Haven't seen much of the other guys.

Okay, you must be really stupid if you think I am the parent of this kid, and even more naive if you think I am the kid himself. I am a fan of watching EMHA bantam AA because there is so much hidden and passed by talent. I just think that Endelman is a great player. I do not see the problem. If you want proof go watch him for petes sake. By the way, I have seen more talent in AA.

-Jordan Stephens (good Passing crispness and accuracy. Weekness=shot power.)

-Kyle North, Defensive playing style. 82mph slapshot.

-Zachary Laiss, Slap shot and defensive pinching is great weakness= Skating Technique

Why don't you watch Tanner Cimino play and then report back to us difference between him and Endelman? It will be night and day! Cimino now has 28 pts in 10 games and has proven that he has what it takes to lead a team. It's a shame he's not playing in the AAA league. Remind me again how many points Endelman has?

How could you possibly know Kyle North has a 82 mph slap shot? Do you take a radar gun to the rink? Perhaps you are getting kph mixed up with mph? I call bulls@&$!

Regarding Cimino, did he try out for AAA and get cut or did he just choose to play AA? I see he plays for CAC...... the CAC AAA team is pretty weak with no scoring beyond Halabi and Wray at all. Cimino leading the AA league and the AAA team doesn't even have him listed as an affiliate? What's the deal?

Great question. Geoff Green is an experienced hockey guy. I can't see him missing a pick like Cimino. Did Cimino opt out? Was he injured in tryouts? Granted there is a huge difference between AA and AAA, but a kid averaging 3 or 4 points a game in AA would certainly contribute in AAA.

As far as i know, Forsberg is the only bantam-aged player playing midget(excepting on occasion for some affiliated players). Other than Millette and perhaps Leverton, i don't think any other players would make a significant contribution at that level.

-Jordan Stephens (good Passing crispness and accuracy. Weekness=shot power.)

-Kyle North, Defensive playing style. 82mph slapshot.

-Zachary Laiss, Slap shot and defensive pinching is great weakness= Skating Technique
Zcahary Laiss?????? Slap shot??????? One of the weak D-men on his team, often covered by his team-mates!!

Millette played against some of the best '95's in Chicago. Didn't do much. How in samhell can you guys pick players by their points total in ssmhl?? Anybody can go online and look at the 'scoring leaders'. You south guys, git off yerass and get to the rink. Predinchuck and McGauley are great scorers, until there is opposition. Then they are done. Where are the 'D'??? Kayle Doetzel for one. Carter Hanson??? These guys are hockey players.
Of all they 'top players' will any of them be in Med. Hat next weekend?? Millette is the only 1. SSMHL is not the place to evaluate players. You need to see how they do outside this league. 14-2 is not a gauge of anything. There are some good players in ssmhl, Ty McLean comes to mind, but your lists are flawed. Even +/- doesn't work as the whole team can be +12. Let's see how the 'top guys' make out vs. GSHL teams or P.A.
Sorry for the rant, just got off the plane, I hate flying.

You make some good points pontiac. Any predictions for the Regina tournament? All SS represented plus all Saskatoon and the better C4 teams.
