Legit source there. Eklund had it too so it's like a double-whammy

Why would they make up a Kyle Calder rumor?

Ducks don't have many natural left wingers on the team so it makes sense. Anythings better than Drew Miller.

Calder was the only Kings forward that finished with a positive GFON60/GAON60 differential.

I haven't seen any other fanbase that uses those stats/takes them seriously

Meh.

If it's for around 700k then the Ducks did well.

What happened to Calder and Mark Bell? Less than 3 years ago, they were considered good quality NHL players. Bell had the DUI arrest and the alcohol issues. It's a shame.

They benefitted from putting up points for a horrible team.

I haven't seen much of Mark Bell, but I can safely say that Kyle Calder is a horrible player, and isn't (from what I've heard) good in the lockerroom either.

Really Dean's most questionable FA signing

To expand on that, Tyler Arnason as well.

The "ABC" line was the Toews\Kane of the early 2000's.

Well, not quite, but they were considered pretty good.

We'll see Aranson's act with the Rangers/Hartford this season. Can't wait

It is not like Calder is the Cloutier of forwards. He just needs to be utilized in a bottom 6 role at all times. He has some positives in his game, but he will never be that second line player he was capable of being at one point in the past again. I personally think he could do well in a system like Anaheim's as long as he is on the third line and not expected to put up 20+ points.

Even though it's a marginal stat, Calder did lead all Kings forwards in plus/minus with a -1. We could use a vet on the bottom-6 and if Calder signs for under 1 mil and can kill penalties then this "signing" wouldn't bother me. I didn't realize how small he is so I hope he's at least a fast skater.

20+ points? He cant do that? That seems a bit unreasonable...

He doesn't really kill penalties and he isn't really fast.

He's at his "best" in front of the net, and he has average to good hockey intelligence.

Of course, he is probably most known for the Kings for finishing about a third of the glorious scoring oppurtunities he stumbled upon
