Nice. I can't wait for this guy to make his way to the Lightning.

I remember reading this before the draft

Not really, but I'd take club where the heat, for example. Florida Panthers or Tampa Bay Lightning.

I was really hoping the Rangers would have drafted him. You guys got a really good player who should be awesome for your team. Can't wait to see him play in the NHL.

Though that part doesnīt really say much about his feelings for those two teams, just that he would have liked to play for a team that is located somewhere hot.

But itīs nice to see Rišo doing good hopefully heīll continue at this pace during the season as well, and even more so at the WJCīs.

Yes, but he said Tampa, so he was thinking about it and how nice it would be to play there

Or more likely he was thinking of how heīll be lying at some beach in Florida one day......

Really, the general impression from that article was that heīs quite a lazy kid.....IMO when they ask him about the difference in level between the Czech republic and Slovakia, he says that the organization in the Czech junior leagues is different, so that you play on Friday and Saturday and have free Sundays for "regeneration" (to quote his word), while we make the poor Slovak kids to play on Sundays too.......

First Impressios

As for his performance on the ice, best player out there. His game is going to translate well. He skates as well as most European players with good speed but does not shy away from a hard nosed physical game. He may not hit as often as a typical NA player but getting hit does not seem to bother him or slow him down. Seems fairly tough to knock off the puck and always looking for an oppurtunity.

A lot of teams are going to regret letting him drop down in the draft.

Sitting on the visiting teams goal line in Windsor I am gojng to enjoy watching him put a lot of pucks in the net.

Well I hope he makes just because I want a jersey with his name on it, I was really rooting for Wacey Rabbit, but I don't have much hope for him anymore.

have they been using him as C or winger? if he's playing the wing and is comfortable there, I wanna see this line in the future:

Harju - Stamkos - Panik

or something like that

Panik has been playing RW. Austin Watson (right handed shot) has been playing LW and these two have looked really good together so far. I can see them playing a lot this season as everyone is looking for bigs things from Watson this season.

With Panik and Ashton, I really like our core of young wingers. I honestly think both of them could be on the big team as early as next season, depending on how the roster shapes up then.

To add to that Tyrell and Downie aren't half bad either, we potentially have 4 top 6 forwards that can hopefully make the team in the next few years.

I was actually wrong, Panik didnīt have one assist, but three in that game. Thatīs like 4 points per game for him now.

He is right. 1+3 in that game. So it makes 3+5 in 2 games played.
