Oilers should be deadly in the shootout once again.

I think Nashville would put a claim in on him. How is he on the wing?

There are just too many players just like Schremp in Edmonton's lineup. That's been the problem for him since he started trying to crack their lineup. It would've been more plausible for him to make the top-6 if they had managed to pull off the Heatley deal, but they didn't.

I see him rotating all over their lineup this season. But mainly he'll be on the bench.

This is your opinion, and your opinion is wrong, the Isles, Panthers, Thrashers Avalanche, Leafs and prolly another 3 teams could be interested in picking up a young, skilled player who just has to put it together.

1. Wouldn't know his own end with a road map.

4. Not classy enough to know not to use multiple F-bombs in an interview.
5. Terrible 5 on 5 player.
6. Most of his inflated Junior stats are because of audacious PP time.
7. Small forward.
8. Lousy nickname (Sugartits)

There are plenty...

Schremp and Gagner had some pretty good chemistry this past EuroCan Cup in London.

Can I ask whats wrong with this guy? I mean he just needs to grow up but his stats seem conclusive of a guy who just needs to put it all together I mean Jiri Tlusty seemed to do something similar and Leafs fans won't shut up about him

The problem is that (using his own words) he plays Rob Schremp's hockey, while an NHL team expects a player to be mature enough to play the NHL hockey. Hope it answered your question.

This is "do or die" for Schremp as far as his career with the Oilers is concerned. . There is a clean slate with the new coaching staff. He's gonna have to find a way to slip into the top 6 which is unlikely.

EDIT:

I disagree. There are two possible first lines:

Penner-Horcoff-Hemsky
or
O'Sullivan-Horcoff-Hemsky

For a second line Gagner is a lock at center, O'Sullivan can play both sides, Nilson can play RW and Schremp can play both left and right wing... so his real competition is Nilson.

If you ask me Nilson should be the odd man out. With 2 years @ 2 mill left on his contract and having never really done anything to deserve that salary, you can't tell me that Nilson is going to be as desperate to succeed as Schremp will be this season.

Penner-Horcoff-Hemsky
Schremp/O'Sullivan-Gagner-O'Sullivan/Schremp (They both have L hand shot and can both play on both wings.)

Works for me. Trade Nilson for a bag of pucks or keep him on as a reserve forward until someone goes down with an injury.

I only seen him play once live, but when lined up he has this look like a deer in your headlights.

There's no way Schremp would clear waivers. His cap hit is small and his weaknesses aren't as horrible as people suggest.

Yes, he's slow. But he isn't as slow as Radek Bonk.

Yes, he's bad defensively, but not as horrid as Nylander.

And who cares if he uses the f-bomb? The word has been thrown around casually for a few decades now. If the f-bomb isn't something that should be heard or read in the media then the media should take responsibility by cutting it out. It's easy. I do podcasts of my buddies and I farting around and we throw tons of crap we'd never let slip online. We cut it out and you'd never know what we actually said or that we ever cut anything out when you hear the final product.

Pretty amusing since with HD, I hear it in nearly every sports broadcast.

He's a below average skater and isn't very strong on the puck. He has confidence issues and seems to think that since he is Rob Schremp he deserves better. He plays with no intensity, besides his first game here, after that he went back to same old same old. He needs PP time to produce and both Hemsky and Gagner and even Nilsson are better options at this point of time.

If he gets claimed, fine by me. He's more of a suspect/bust than prospect. Gagner, Cogs and Nilsson have all passed by him and I suspect that one of Omark/Eberle/MPS will pass him next year.

He needs playing time, not just PP time. As I mentioned earlier, 3 mins a game (which equates to what enforcers and 4th liners get) aint helping him. Now im not defending him, per se, but to be realistic, its tough to make anything with 3mins TOTAL, especially in Schremps case where he is supposed to produce on the offensive end.

As for Nilsson passing Schremp, I'd say they are pretty much par. I know MacT had a dislike for Nilsson...but I'd say he hates Schremp on a personal level. He never really gave any reason for demoting him after the 3-4 games; he just did it.
