Because any player that was draft eligible and passed over can be signed if it is done so before their juniors team start their new season.

Upon further review, it does not appear that Gudas is eligible to be signed since he played in Europe last year and is under age 22.

Then it really doesn't make sense for him to be in camp unless Dean wants to see if it is worth using a late round pick on him in 2010.
