Lydman was skating at practice today and looked a bit tenative. I'd guess that he'd be a gametime decision. It's going to be up to him to see if he can get his timing back.

Yelle's huge. We need him back in the worst way.

McAmmond was on Calgary radio today saying that he's pretty much done for the year. We could have used him.

Well. 48 hours left. I can't wait for playoff hockey. It's been WAY too long.

This is going to be one mother of an intense match-up. So many pests on both teams. Cooke, Nieminen, Rutuu, Clark, Gauthier. This is going to be a great series. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And hopefully for his career here in Calgary naw he's been all I could have asked for this year, but I do think he is the one who goes if Sutter can keep Simon around, I believe Simon made the same as McAmmond this year. I just don't see room for Saprykin, Simon, Reinprecht and McAmmond on our first two LW situation next year (assuming Conroy is re-signed like he better be, and Ville and Marty G have 3rd/4th line duties) and I think Mac will be the odd one out...but onto the playoffs should we expect this for the first game?

Simon-Conroy-Iginla
Nieminen-Nilson-Donovan
Gelinas-Yelle-Clark
Saprykin-Lombardi-Kobasew

Leopold-Regehr
Warrener-Gauthier
Lydman-Commodore (possibly Ference for Lyds)

Kiprusoff

??

I don't think Yelle will be there for the first game.

Thanks for the good word

Back on the Line-up note, if Yelle doesn't go, Lombo will take his place and Oliwa/Loyns/Sonnenberg will have to play on the fourth line.

YUCK.

Ironically, Flames fans told Nuck fans we did them a favour by beating out the hated Oilers. Time for an avatar change, BTW.

You describe a near perfect scenario for:

A.) Maintaining the already high level of fan interest.
B.) Maximizing the home playoff revenue

and most importantly...

C.) Advancing to the next round.

This one seems more likely to me; they go 1-2 at home, but 3-0 on the road.

The flames kinda remind me of the Canucks of two years ago, with everyone suddenly joining the foray and cheering for the Nucks to beat the Wings.

Now the Canucks are hated because they beat the Oilers, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but that's okay.

So very pumped for this series, let's hope it lives up to its billing.

Brian Burke's questioning the extent of Steve Moore's injuries didn't exactly endear himself, and the team - by extension, to North American fans.

Go FLAMES!!!
Unable to see the game for two reasons:
1) Living in the US without Center Ice.
2) Will be stuck at work.
I would imagine a very physical contest. This would be the matchup to watch, but...

Right after it happened, before it was announced that Moore had cracked verebrae -- heard about it on a Toronto radio station. No reason to doubt the report, being the hothead that Burke is...

I hope the flames beat the nucks, as a preds fan I can think of no better conference final to watch then the preds vs. flames. Come on Flames, not to mention I like the flames as long as they aren't playing the preds
