RDS HD to now be available to all rogers customers...

Along with TSN2.

Quote:
Rogers Cable Communications Inc. today announced it will bring a comprehensive suite of programming to its Digital Cable customers as a result of an agreement with CTV Inc., Canada's largest private broadcaster. The agreement includes more sports programming with the addition of TSN2, more HD programming with TSN2 HD and RDS HD. It also solidifies Rogers as the clear leader in offering HD Sports programming in the Canadian Marketplace.

Beginning Tuesday, TSN2 will be available to Rogers subscribers on a free preview on Rogers Digital channel 1. Before the end of the month, TSN2 will be available to Rogers Digital VIP Cable subscribers at its permanent location on channel 98. TSN2 HD will be available to customers who subscribe to TSN and have the HDTV Specialty Theme Pak.

''We'd like to thank our customers for their patience as we worked hard towards an agreement that would offer choice and the widest possible variety of programming,'' said David Purdy, Vice-President Television Services, Rogers Cable Inc. ''We are always looking at new services and channels to bring to our customers, and TSN2 was one part of the negotiations to offer a wide range of sports, and HD programming.''

Rogers customers will have complete coverage of this week's three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox. The Games will be available starting on Tuesday, May 19 at 7 p.m. ET as TSN 2 will be in free preview on Rogers Digital channel 1 and for analog customers on channel 59.

Finally I'll be able to get every Habs game in HD. It's been such a long time in the waiting. I'm looking so forward to next season.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!

We will also get TSN2 in time for the Jays/Red Sox series starting on Tuesday.

I would imagine that Rogers will reshuffle their entire HD line up now. They were testing 22 new channels according to the digital forum web site.

Yessss Thank you Rogers, despite all the months of delay. Even before this, I've had a few good recent experiences with Rogers customer service (albeit with my malfunctioning iPhone), so they have been slowly growing in esteem in my eyes. I haven't been following much, any reason in particular why this might be? Have they finally realized that customer service is almost as important as the product itself? Anyways, I'm looking forward to RDS-HD on Rogers next year.

Well, at least Bell has TSN2.

Videotron has the crappiest HD content I've ever seen a TV company provide. And I've been around North America enough to tell the difference.

According to some random guy on a digital tv forum, Videotron will be offering TSN2 either this summer or in September.

My 52" LCD just became worth twice as much to me!!

I'm getting TSN2 non-HD on channel 1. But there's no mention anywhere as to when and where RDSHD will be.

TSN2 seems useless. They play crappy games that no one cares about, save for maybe once every two months.

Absense of TSN2 isn't the sole reason I dislike Videotron, but it certainly contributes to it overall. How many HD channels do you have that are worthy with Videtron?

RDSHD, TSNHD, CBSHD and NBCHD are the only ones I watch, since I don't watch a whole lot of TV. All of them look good.

Well, then you're a perfect Videotron customer.
