Don't think you're sober considering how lopsided this trade is.
Sorry, never meant to try to make a "fair" proposal. Was just making a proposal which I deemed equal to LA's offering of Stoll and Frolov. In terms of value I think Frolov is about equal with Zajac, maybe a bit of an edge to Frolov because his ceiling is higher. Stoll has WAY more value than Bergfors, that's why I switched him with Clarkson. Adding a 2nd was probably too much, but IMO Stoll has more value than Clarkson as well.
Either way, it would be a gross overpayment from both teams for a dwindling Marleau.
And he probably won't be moved from SJ now that they've acquired Heatley while shipping out the same amount of salary. They're no longer up against the cap, and they don't need to make a deal. Might as well keep Marleau for another playoff run.
I know we heard it a 100 times, but I think the Sharks are now the favorite in the West. Heaty with big Joe should score 50 and to hold on to Marleau, good deal for them.
Heatley already had a very good playmaking centre in Spezza. I'm not positive his production will be significantly greater playing with Thornton. There's no doubt that the Sharks will be nasty this year though.
