The dollar figure will be interesting. I think Mike has something to prove. Here's to a bounce-back season.

Redemption can be a beautiful thing. He and the team both have a chance at that now. He should've been a great story and still could be.

As many have previously stated, low-risk, potentially high reward signing. Should be interesting to see what comes of this. Is a trade on the horizon?

Well, he provides offense for sure. I don't really know how this is going to effect the other guys on the bubble, but this definitely sends the message that they better show up or they are gone. I'm concerned because he's another small forward, but at least he'll score some and improve the PP.

I wonder if this means we are going to have three up tempo offense lines with Pouliot, Schremp, Brule and Potulny all waiver eligible.

What number does he wear now?

He should wear 43 numerically representing H D.

I am at an impasse with my feelings toward this signing. First thing that comes to mind is depth if no other moves are made. Second thing that comes to mind is Horcoff and his role on the team. Is Horcoff our number one center moving forward?

It's low risk signing an often injured former player who's coming off a career low in points instead of signing a Betts-type player to fill in a desperately needed spot?

Sounds like high risk with a potentially mediocre reward.

I don't want Struds to have to give up his number though.

Dammit, I knew I should have bought a Comrie Oilers jersey that was on sale at West Ed when he was hated. It was like 75% off.

I know I posted some reasons why it might not be so bad, but really, I'm feeling a bit numb right now. Going to work tommorrow in SO/AL is going to be rough.

I'll reserve comment until TC is over and we see the final makeup of the team but right now this team is the most unbalanced in a long list of unbalanced teams this group has iced the last few years.

I agree. We have four lines of 30-goal scorers. Why add another?!
