I can't believe Philly is starting Esche. He played like swiss cheese every time I saw him play. I picked Philly before I knew he would be in goal. I have to now pick the Devils.

I will make no predictions, but I will say this: Esche is the X factor.

He makes the big save the Flyers handle the Devils. He doesn't and the Flyers have no chance.

Watch Esche, he will tell you everything you need to know about the outcome of this series.

Seriously, though...Patrik Elias is going to turn Esche into his own personal urinal cake and there's nothing Esche can do about it.

What's going to happen is what happens to you every Saturday night, he will be denied by Keith Primeau.

And John Madden will have fun with Recci

John Madden is a much better defensive player than Primaeu.

I'm really offended by that.

I haven't hit on Keith Primeau once in my life, much less every Saturday night.

Eric Desjardins: Out with a re-broken arm, just a few weeks/days after returning to the lineup - he broke it having a catch with his son in the yard

Will he? Is he like a personal friend of Maddens because we don't have anyone with the name Recci on our team.

Haven't really heard anything about Mad Dog this year. He seems to be having a subpar year. Not really worried about John.

Unlike your team that can't get anything started at the moment.

Mabye you didn't realize I'm a Flyers fan and was being sarcastic in response to posts that Primeau is nowhere near as good as Madden.

If Devils fans are this cocky and exceedingly confident before the series has even begun, I can't imagine how inflated their egos will be if they actually manage to win the series.

Some of them are acting like the series is over before it has even started.

Geez, a thread on HF gets goofy and now Devils fans are cocky? My ego will balloon if I and the other posters win the series, since none of us has any NHL experience. But if the Devils win I will merely be happy.

This year in OT:

Devils are 7-2, with 12 ties
Flyers are 2-6, with 15 ties

Does this matter? Probably not, but I thought I'd throw it out since it's free of any grammatical critques.

Most realistic Flyers fans would realize both teams are cocky in every series. Including Nashville and the Isles.

The Preds & Isles can be cocky considering what they have done against their playoff opponents. The Isles won the season series against Tampa and Nashville had Detroit's number a few times this year.

hard to blame the goalie if the offense is non-existent. No team wins a series if they only score 10 goals in 6 games.

Com'on give me a break, have you not read any of the Flyers posters, you got people predicting Flyers in five and were the cocky ones?
