The way he conducted himself his first time around, he doesn't deserve a second chance with the Rangers.

Obviously I'm talking about Richard. This IS a hockey board after all.

If you're not going to take this seriously, I wish you would just stay out of the discussion.

Yeah, Theo and serious discussions, hand in hand

And lets not stop at Theo, whats Kev Stevens up to these days? Semi-seclusion?

We have enough forwards already. Maybe Theo was a defenseman on his team in Ireland and he can be the 5/6 D-man on the Rangers this season. We still need those two spots filled! Think about it, he can do hip-checks without even bending over. That would scare opposing forwards carrying the puck in

The man led the league, not just the team, but the entire league in points about a week before he went to rehab. I really don't understand the hate for him by some Ranger fans. I was pissed he had to go to rehab, too, but **** happens. Still a great player who embraced the rivalry with the Islanders like few others.

A feisty player that had some offensive ability.

Even if he's fading, his life experience can be somewhat helpful to some of the younger guys on the roster.

I don't think that we would be seeing the same Theo that flipped the crowd the Bird, or some other loose cannon that he was once the drugs/booze got a hold of him, rather I think we would be seeing a guy come in, humble once again trying to right some past wrongs about who he is and who he was.

This would be similar to the Yankees brining in Darryl Strawberry. Obviously Theo is a few years older than the Straw-man was, but under very similar circumstances.
I am picking on you but I shouldn't but honestly I don't get it.

Shanny deserved a contract and didn't get one and Fleury should just because he went thru the organ grinder.....

sorry

Some fans want and enjoy a circus...as exhibited by the crazy man-love displayed towards Tortorella and Avery on a regular basis.

Theo was actually pretty productive as a Ranger, both in terms of points and embarassments.

For all the nedved haters, he really did have a pretty good camp. And I still would've taken Betts over him, but you cant deny that Nedved most likely would've put up more points than Betts last year.

I don't know, I feel like everyone deserves a second chance.

It probably doesn't make any sense for us to give him an invite, but he's one of my favorite players so I want to see it.

Nostalgic, yes. useful, no. I think Nedved's success in camp last year followed by his cutting shows just how hard its gonna be for a fossil camp invite to make the club.

Perhaps you're right but Theo possesses a competitive edge unknown to Nedved. Would love to see him try....it sure would make camp interesting

Exactly! Let's forget sentimentality for a second and how it would be a great "feel good" story if Fleury attempted a comeback with the Rangers.

Sather didn't want a 39-year-old Shanny on the team last year, so now he'll want a 41-year-old Fleury who hasn't played in the NHL in years? Come on, it just doesn't make sense.

That being said, I admire what Fleury has overcome and hope he gets a decent chance at a comeback with another team. He deserves a second shot, but I just don't think the Rangers are a feasible option for him.

Can't wait for the Rangers to give him $9million a year.

Avery + CrackHead Theo = very entertaining year

He lead the league in points before he left, he was still a dominant force offensively.

Some of you guys are acting like ballet fans, not hockey fans... we have Brashear on our team... and Avery... and for the record, alcoholism is a disease... not excusing anyone, but that hopefully puts things in accurate perspective.
