Here are all my crappy past predictions, with my crappy present comments:

WEST:

1) Detroit
2) Dallas
3) Vancouver
4) Anaheim
5) Los Angeles
6) Colorado
7) St. Louis
8) Minnesota
9) Edmonton

Hmmm, well I got 1, 3, 7, and 9 right. I expected LA to be healthy, and I expected Anaheim and Minne not to suck. I was one of few who predicted the Avalanche out of the top three, but I ended up putting them too low. I knew Kariya/Selanne would disappoint.

EAST:

1) Ottawa
2) New Jersey
3) Washington
4) Toronto
5) NYR
6) Montreal
7) Philadelphia
8) Boston
9) Buffalo

Hahhh, I actually thought that the Rangers would make the playoffs. This HAD to be their year, right? : Tampa Bay was a major surprise, as I didn't see them making the playoffs. I got most of the other playoff teams right, just wrong order. Once again I predict no.9 correctly. I sure know my fringe teams!

Goals Leader - Todd Bertuzzi
Team primed for a breakthrough - Washington Capitals
Team primed for a dropoff - Minnesota Wild
Breakthrough player - Brad Isbister
Top rookie - Pitkanen
All Hart - Jaromir Jagr
Regular season scoring champ - Joe Thornton
2004 Stanley Cup Champions - Detroit Red Wings

Hahahahaha, yeah, I thought Bertuzzi would hit the 50 goal plateau. He didn't even hit the 20 goal mark. Washington did the opposite of "breakthrough." I got the dropoff right, yet I predicted them to make the playoffs. o_O weird. Isbister, let's just ignore that shall we? Pitkanen may win the Calder I guess. I thought this was the year that Jagr would "return to form." He was "just" good though. At least my Stanley Cup prediction can still come true.

Though I hope it doesn't.

I had the Wings meeting the Leafs in the finals and the only award I predicted was the Richard of which I chosed Jarome Iginla, though by a lot more than 41.

All I remember is that I predicted Anaheim was gonna be bad this year and miss the playoffs. But the rest... I don't remember it and I probably was far off as well

Oh yes, I remember that I thought the Bolts were going to be equally bad as the Ducks. Boy was I wrong on that one

I got 4 division champs correctly missing with Ottawa and Dallas. I think Vancouver and New Jersey was my preseason Cup selection, though it was so long ago I forgot. I thought Anaheim would miss the playoffs. However, I thought Boston would finish 8 in the East mainly because of their goalies

In the East: Otta-Phil-TB (division winners); NJ; Toro; NYI; Buff; Bost
In the West: Detr-Van-Dall (division winners); Colo; St.L; LA; Edm; Minn

predictions aren't fun unless they're bold

how awesome would it have been if i turned out right? it would have been an amazing prediction...so i picked one team from each conference that was "sure" to make it.

I would have to say that it wouldnt be awsome. The teams with the most talent should be in the playoffs, regardless of your allegiences. The strongest teams should be matched up against each other when it all matters, because in my opinion, that is what the game is about, the best teams going for the ultimate prize. That is why they should only have 6 playoff spots per conference, and re-seed when they begin. So you wouldnt have the "southleast" occurance. Like I said, have the best teams go at it.
