Here's some video I shot at Sunday's rookie practice.

I've been wanting the same thing from him for the last three years or so now. I suspect if he was going to "get it," he would have already.

Thuresson did not have a good day on Sunday, as he missed numerous passes and lost the puck alot. He wasn't in sync at all. Of course, that easily could have been the first day of camp thing, as most guys aren't up to speed yet.

Yeah, I simply get the feeling that Tootoo has absolutely no desire to learn that he cannot shoot the puck through the goalie, so maybe, just maybe, he should shoot the puck where the goalie is not. Also, the more shots that hit the net...the better your opportunity to score gets...

I'm sorry, I know he's a fan favorite and all, but seriously the guy needs to show something more to his game to give the coaching staff a reason to elevate him from 4th line agitator...

Very happy to hear this.

How did Legwand look? Did anyone see Wilson before he left with the rookies...how did he look?

Sully tweets Ellis...tell's him to bring it!

Quote:
@dellis39 Better get some rest tonight....... We are coming out guns a blazing in Silver/Blue game tomorrow!
http://twitter.com/Sully26

Hmm...should be a good game tomorrow. Sully, Arny, and to a lesser extent JP have been all over Rinne this week. Pekka got the best of them today though and Arnott had to resort to shooting pucks at him from center ice while he was facing another shooter in order to score...

Scrimmage tomorrow. All of the work today was based around systems, therefore very controlled situations that didn't really provide much opportunity for individual assessment.

Ward didn't skate today and is listed as doubtful for tomorrow, but good news on the injury front had Dumont skating around like nothing happened. Sully left practice for about 15 minutes to address a skate repair issue after he fell twice during the same drill, but returned and saw no ill effects. Dekanich (flu) participated in the full practice without a rotation and looked very sharp.

Will be interested to see later today who is released or re-assigned after the rookies return from Atlanta...

That's great. Always nice to see some friendly smack talk between teammates. I guess that's a further indication of the mood around camp right now.

Does it look like Franson won't be playing in the NHL this year yet?

If Neck's report is accurate, Franson may be lucky to play more than a handful of games in the NHL.

He's still got a couple of years - he just turned 22 - but if he's not in the NHL by the midpoint of next season, it's probably a safe bet that he'll never be a regular NHLer.

Not on this team, but maybe on another. Look at Koistinen...he was a healthy scratch with us and now is making 1M and 1.4M in Florida.

Or Peverley...an expendable player put on waivers, and finished the season with 44 points and almost a point a game in Atlanta

Koistinen will be lucky to play 50 games in Sunrise.

It's a little early to be writting of someone like Franson. The dude still has great vision and passing, he'll eventually improve the skating.

Franson has a ton of offensive talent. He could play in the NHL this year for a bunch of teams, even if it was just as primarily a PP specialist. Not all defensive prospects have zero flaws in their game .

I"m not writing him off...I have nothing against him, and ultimately, as a Predators fan, I hope he lives up to his potential. It's just that in every situation that I've seen him...in training camps, in two games I saw in Milwaukee...and now most recently this weekend, he's been a disappointment--not just defensively, but I didn't really see him do anything special with the puck. Obviously it's a very limited sampling, but some players just "pop," and you know they've got something special. I didn't get that from him...in fact, there were several points where you noticed him for negative reasons. I look forward to the scrimmage tomorrow..that will be the best indicator yet.

Oh yeah...

Can't believe I forgot to post this earlier...

Tootoo was sporting a gold front tooth today!!!

For his own sake, I hope that is only a Halloween prop, otherwise, I suspect that each night the opposition will have a bounty on it...

Sorry, no pictures. It was just something that a few of us noticed early in practice when he skated by. All of us went about our thoughts for about a second before looking at each other and saying, "does Tootoo have a gold tooth???" Indeed, he did...

None announced yet. I suspect tomorrow will be the first cut down day, although I'm sure some of the rookies left this evening after returning from Atlanta...

According to the guys on twitter, Santorelli has a hat trick so far in the Grey-Blue scrimmage. Sullivan and Hornqvist/Wilson with the other goals as the game is 3-2

http://twitter.com/PredFans

Santorelli looking good in camp will help Poile do what he does best and stay quiet on the Kessel front.

Damn. Maybe Santo wants that winger job after all.

Am I correct in assuming that Willy is Colin Wilson?
