Major blow to team Switzerland....

Alain Berger breaks his foot in an exhibition Games vs. Austria! He still managed to score a goal and an assist....

I think this would've been a good tournament for him!

Hopefully the Swiss can beat Latvia AND Slovakia and get into the Quarterfinals... That would be sensational....

Wow ! that is no luck, for Berger and for us !!!

With the armada of scouts that will be their !!! it would have really been a great opportunity to show up.

However he is still playing in North America so he is being looked at. It would have been worse for Josi or another swiss player playing in Switzerland.

On the efficiency of the team, of course it is also a pity. I was interested in seeing how they would match with Nino Niederreiter and others. It is not like we would have simply had players playing in North America and therefore better than our players and would qualify for the national team, ... Berger is among the best scorers in his team and in his league. Like Niederreiter ... even Nils Berger is also among the good scorers + the swiss scorers.

The defence will be ok ...

I do not really understand when medias argue that this team has less talent than the last team ! certainly something is escaping me ... but i view them as talented and more than the last time.
