I voted with honesty, as a hab fan i think Raycroft will win it. Ryder not too far behind but still second.

my finalist:

Raycroft
Ryder
Hunter

why Raycroft, well just look at his numbers .926... thats pretty impressive... Ryder would have win hand down if it wasnt because of raycroft. i hope raycroft wont be that good in the first round.

it's either Pitkanen, Ryder or Raycroft. nobody else stands a chance, IMO.

I'd pick Raycroft.

When Ryder, a rookie, almost gets as many points as Fedorov, a 10 million dollar man, he deserves it...

...any other year than this. Unfortunately, Raycroft's gotta get it. Can't ignore such incredible rookie goaltending stats

Rayzor by a mile with no one else even close.

Ryder would win it most years but Rayzor was just too damn good.

Probably a bit of a homer pick but i still pick Ryder. He was simply our best player, and came to play every night. If Raycroft wins it though, I won't complain.

Also, I think it'll depend on the playoffs. If Raycroft has a terrible post-season, Ryder may have a chance, even though the Calder is for the regular season, do you think Theodore would have beaten out Iginla and Roy for the Hart and Vezina if he had a bad playoffs in 2001-02?

The answer to your question is yes, because the votes are cast BEFORE the playoffs begin. And Theodore didn't have a particularly good playoff in 2001-2002 anyway.

1. Oh ok

2. Theodore eliminated the Bruins, end of story. That's a good enough playoffs for me.

1.Tuomo Ruutu
2.Joni Pitkanen
3.Andrew Raycroft

If Ruutu hadn't played the last half of the season, the Hawks would have been just downright horrible(even worse then they are now)

While I agree Ruutu had a good second season half... you're way out in the left field my friend. The two main candidates for this award are Raycroft and Ryder, there is absolutely no doubt about that one. They have been the most regular rookies this season...

Ryder will win it.

its a tough one between Ryder and Raycroft... yet i`l pick Raycroft cause he is a goalie and he did put up amazing numbers for a 1st year goalie and Boston did finished 2nd ov unlike the Habs (not that it really matters but still).

I voted and expect that Raycroft will win the calder but I wouldn't be surprised if Ryder won it. He's been a centerpiece for the habs almost as much as Raycroft and he's been very consistent..

Raycroft easily, Ryder, Pitkanen, and Hunter will fight for the 2nd and 3rd spots.

Agreed. I do think Ruutu comes in third though.

IMHO,
1. Raycroft
2. Ryder
...
3. Ruutu

I'd prefer Ryder to win it as a hab fan, but I have to be realist, Raycroft has had an awesome season, so he'll probably get it. But both of them deserve it IMO.

Andrew Racroft will more than likely win the damn thing, but I was really impressed with Malone who scored goals and put up points with NO SUPERSTARS on his team.
Same can be said for Ruutu of Chicago. but thats just my opinion.

Finalists will be
Ryder
Raycroft
Hunter
Rayzor will win-He's a huge reason Boston finished where they did-Ryder played extremely well and had Raycroft not been in the Rookie Class this year Ryder would have dominated the polls.
