Sabres at the World Championships

Any news on who is going to the WC's this year? I'd love to see Drury, Grier, Jillson and maybe Ryan Miller on the U.S. team.

I assume that Briere, Mckee, Hecht, Dumont, and Satan will also get a shot, Kalinen and Tallinder could also get invites. There are really 9 or more than will get consideration...

Briere was outstanding for Team Canada last year.

Looking forward to seeing him play with guys like Heatley.

Briere and Heatley were awesome last year.Perhaps a good World's for Danny may be parlayed into a World Cup invite, who knows?
If Gretz and the gang see him and Heatley have good chemistry why not keep them together one more time.

I don't think so... there are far too many players ahead of Daniel.

Just as an update, Drury, Grier and Jillson have named to the U.S. team, and Briere and Dumont to the Canadian squad.

I wonder who Dumont's going to play with.

Canada's roster is looking strong again this year.

i hope they use drury and grier on a line together, help develop more of that college chemistry. definitely resign grier. i think drury and grier make a great checking line that can play against other teams top lines but also function as a top 2 line minutes wise.

Noronen is practising with the Finnish team, he shut out Denmark in an exhibition game yesterday. I applaud his attitude, there's no guarantee that he'll get to play as Jussi Markkanen is also there and they will surely jump at the possibility of getting Kiprusoff.

Looks like Kipper may be hanging around in Calgary a bit longer.
