Looks good from my angle. I just need a ruling on that potential Martin St. Louis deal that went down. If he's still a member of my team, I still need to be shopping him.

Thanks for updating the files. There are couple of transaction that is pending on my team.

1) Jean-Sebastien Aubin has signed on in Europe
2) Chris Butler has signed a 2 year rookie contract for $560K per season
3) Kyle Okoposo has signed a 3 year rookie contract for $875K per season

I'm not sure if prospect signings are supposed to be updated yet but the only thing that appears to be missing from the Oilers is TJ Oshie. He was signed to a 2 year $850,000 contract in July.

Ah. I forgot to go through the list of Euro's and recent retirements. I'll do that later today.

They are included already - on your farm roster....

Two very minor things Matt, that I was hoping you could fix whenever you get the chance. Just positional changes...

Patrick Mullen and Jay Leach are both defenseman, not centers.

Although on a side note, Mullen did play forward to start his NCAA career. Here's a link proving he plays defense, http://letsgodu.blogspot.com/2009/04...t-with-la.html

And here's a link for Leach, http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8467436

I can't find that email approval from the agents. Can you forward it to me please?

Hi Matt,

Dave Steckel should be on the Leafs roster as I matched the offer.

Thanks,

Oh yeah, should we post retirements/euro's here also?

I was also instructed that now was not the time to sign rookies from your prospect list. When is the proper time to do that? I would love to get my roster straight.

Additionally, should the trade for St. Louis not go through he will be available if anybody has offers for him.

I can't think of a better time than now to sign your rookies. Not sure who told you that, but looking around the league, the majority of teams have already signed their prospects. So I'd say you can go ahead and do that

Phillipe Boucher retired last week. Good thing I just traded for him.

......things like that should have a compensatory pick involved.

actually 2 weeks ago.. Compensation is optional to the teams that make the trades. Sometimes there are compensations negotiated in to the trades to compensate in cases like this. Other times the price is lower because of the risk of retirement.

I agree - SIGN YOUR ROOKIES This is a great time - I'd like to get the rosters in shape so that when we decide on which sim we're gonna use and which ratings we can jump to it quickly...

I don't think it should come from the team that traded him. It's not their fault he retired. But IRL, I would have talked to Boucher & if he was unsure about playing, I wouldn't have traded for him. Was thinking about a compensatory pick from the league after the round you traded the pick for.

But I realize I could have put in a provision in the trade to being with.

In terms of retirees, Mike Sillinger should come off my roster (unfortunately). Also Kyle Quincey should come off my prospects list, since he now correctly appears on my roster.

Andreas Engqvist is still listed as a Shark. He is too young to be signed as a UFA.

I would still like to know if the deal for St. Louis went through. That must be one hell of a lengthy review process!
