Pre game 1: #4 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. #5 Ottawa Senators

Let me tell you, I'm really excited to see this series. I think getting a 6-0 beat down will only fire up Ottawa. The last time these 2 teams met in the playoffs, Ottawa was arguabley one major penalty away from winning the series. I also think Lalime can have his game together as Ottawa is my pick to come out of the east.

I'm picking them to take Game 1 4-2.

Anybody seen Marian Hossa?? I can't believe this guy was 5th in the league in scoring considering how bad he was at times this year. He should dominate. It's time for him to show everyone just how good he can be.

I won't make a prediction, but I think the Sens star will be Peter Schaefer.

Good choice. I would say Bondra because he was starting to get rolling just in time, but he might not play. Another guy who was starting to get going was Vermette, but it's also unsure if he'll start. Thise are two of our fastest guys, and if we want to beat the Leafs, we are gonna have to use our speed and beat them to every loose puck, unlike Saturday.

Toronto wins game one 3-1
Toronto wins series 4-2

Simply put, Ottawa cannot beat the Leafs in a best of seven.

i think the sens might take the opener, but i honestly don't think they can take the leafs over seven.

They are.. As Don Cherry put it, the loss by the Sens on Saturday will help them.. they know now that there are adjustments they need to make in their game to win.. they will adjust and win game one. Also Lalime will be back Thursday.. I've got a feeling he'll play really well.

Game 1: Sens win 2-1 in overtime (Hossa, Bondra - Mogilny)

I think the Saturday game will ignite the Sens (finally) and the Leafs won't know what hit them.

Sens win series in 5.

GO SENS GO!!!

My calls:

Leafs in 6

Game 1: Toronto does it again, not quite as many goals, but just as many allowed. Leafs win 3-0, McCabe and Leetch doing the work form the point, both with 2 points, McCabe with a goal. Roberts scores, as well as Tie Domi, with a rare PP goal while Chris Neil is in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct. Belfour makes nearly fourty saves in a game the Sens should have, but didn't, win.

Game 2: Senators come out strong, with a goal in the first five minutes from Mr. Chara on a PP. Ottawa stops the flow of traffic through the neutral zone, implementing the hated "trap". Game continues til late in the 3rd, where Toronto rallies, with the game tying goal in the last 5 minutes, as well as the game winner in the final minute. Once again, Ottawa is miffed.

Game 3: Ottawa comes out on home ice, and carries the flow from the beginning til the end. Strong outting, winning by 2-3 goals. Lone Leafs goal from Gary Roberts (who leads the series in points)

Game 4: Leafs do the same as Ottawa did the night earlier. Complete domination, Sens fans are silent by the end of the first. Some have already left the game. Roberts shines (yet again) but Belfour is the real hero, once again stopping all Senator shots for his second shutout of the playoffs.

Game 5: Senators pull off a victory, in OT. Alfredsson nets the winner.

Game 6: It's over. Leafs win 4-1. Good game all around, but Lalime is no Belfour. Shots are even at 32 a piece. Chris Neil takes a nasty run at Darcy Tucker late in the third, and receives a lengthy suspension into the 2004 season because of it. Tucker misses a single game the next series.

Series points leader: Gary Roberts
Series MVP: Belfour.
