Trading Tickets!

Hey guys,

I need some help; I have two tickets to the home opener against Montreal on the 1st. Both are in section 101, however, they are singles, one person would be located in the row in front of the other, and diagonal, so both can still be in contact with each other. I'm looking to make a trade with someone- I want some higher tickets, but would like to have 2 or possibly 3 tickets side by side. If anyone can help me out, or give me a website where these types of transactions happen, I'd appreciate. I'm not looking to make profit off my tickets or anything like that, I just want to try and make a switch that would benefit both parties. Any suggestions?

MOD EDIT:

This is the offical Ticket Thread for the upcoming season. It is here you can announce you have tickets to give away, to trade for future games, to sell at or below face value to other fans. You can also make requests to purchase tickets for certain games.

Tickets can be bought/sold for personal use and cannot be sold at more than face value plus postage/UPS/FedEx charges.

HFBoards.com is not a forum you can use to sell tickets for profit.

HFBoards also does not sponsor/endorse any deals . Buyer beware.

you're looking to trade up, no one is going to swap a pair for two singles. and three tickets together is even more unlikely, as they'd probably be sold in two pairs for more value. your two options would be to trade up with scalpers before the game or try and buy & sell at stubhub.com or a similar site. good luck!

there is another option, trading Down. Maybe someone in the greens or purples (upper bowl) might be willing to trade you a pair side by side for your singles. Both sides would make consessions but at the same benefit.

I must have misread, when he said higher I thought he meant better tickets, but what you're saying makes more sense.

This is exactly what Im looking to do. When I wrote higher, I meant towards the upper bowls.

Does anyone on HF have a pair of tickets they'd be willing to trade to the home opener? Would make my life much easier
Would the scalpers help me out? Or am I better off selling my tickets on Stubhub, (which are going for about 350 each), and then buying a pair off the same site higher up?

How about you tell whoever you're going with that you can't find anyone, then you go alone and sell me the other ticket and make a few bucks doing so?

(Specific) leafs tix questions...

There was a post about this a little over a week ago, but it seems to have concluded itself and rather than bump it i made a new one.

I think I've read the other ticket threads and they did not address my questions, which are fairly specific.

I'd really like to go to the opening night game. Partially because its opening night vs the habs, but mostly because Im leaving north america for a long time time a few days after the game. Im from Toronto, and Ive lived in montreal for the past 4 years but am now home. I love the leafs. I hate the habs. My employment in Canada has now ceased, thus I will willingly be waiting at the box office from 6 AM if it will guarantee me seats but I have a few questions:

1) Are there game day tickets released for ALL games regardless? I figure the demand of opening night vs montreal might mean no tickets will be left.

2) Do these gameday batches of tickets need to be picked up in person? Or will people on telephones be taking my tickets while the box office teller rearranges their stationary prior to opening their kiosk?

3) Anyone know when the box office actually opens?

4) Are these tickets always singles?

Some pretty specific queries but I figure someone around here has probably done these ropes a few times.

any help appreciated!

I do not know the specific answers to your questions, but I do know that about 3 days or so before the actual game, ticketmaster releases some more tickets. You need to get really lucky to get them though - I did once.

Good luck, and please let us know how it goes.

If you're in Montreal or maybe even Toronto, I have two tickets which you could pick up from me. I managed to purchase two tickets in section 101, which are some pretty good seats.

They're two singles, but are almost side by side, one is in the row in front of the other and diagonal so still in close contact. On ebay someones selling a ticket in 102 for 500 U.S but I'm not looking for some crazy profit like that, so PM me and we can negotiate something if you'd like...

Does anyone think I could get a scalper to give me a pair of tickets higher up, + give me the price difference? I see how much people are trying to make off their tickets, but I just want a pair side by side, not interested much in the money.

Help!

Hi Guys

I entered every single contest to win tickets to tonight's game but didn't win!!! I was wondering if anyone had an extra pair of tickets that they would like to give away. I would really like to see this game. I know that quite a few people won more then once and people on craigslist are selling their free tickets for $50 each!! Anyone able to help? I could meet you before the game at the ACC to pick them up...anyone?

Maybe someone could push me in the right direction if you guys already have a thread on this topic but I am coming up for the Pens-Leafs game on October 10th and I have yet to get tickets. I am prepared to overpay because I've heard how difficult it is to get tickets in Toronto and if anyone here has any available, let me know.

Anyway, I was more concerned with things to do in Toronto before the game. My group will be hitting the Hockey Hall of Fame earlier in the day however I'm not sure what the plans are for dinner and post-game activities. Any suggestions?

I always go here. http://www.theoverdraught.ca/about.html Just West of the HOF, 5 mins walk to the ACC.

I'd suggest a pint there and if the menu isn't what you're looking for, the staff there will give you suggestions.

As for tickets, they won't be cheap.

Some become available the day of the game, you could get lucky.

Any advice on how I could get Steeler tickets?

I am a season ticket holder in Buffalo. Anyone interested in the 3 leaf games, please PM me. The 2 tickets are in section 215 and they include a ramp parking pass which is great during the winter. The games are fri 10/30, fri 12/18 and fri 1/8. I am looking for $1400.00 USD for all three games which is face value plus a fed ex overnight charge. Let me know. I have these on stubhub now at an inflated charge to cover all of their fees.

Steelers tickets are about as easy to come by as Leafs tickets and when you do come across them, they are overpriced. Wish I could help you out with that one but my family has 2 tickets and all the cousins use them so I only get a few games per year (luckily one was the AFC Title Game last year).
