Sportsnet - 40 games
CityTV- 1 game....December 3rd against Detroit.

I wonder if we are getting more than one pre-season game on tv.

So I was thinking of a couple of seasons ago then. Well this is just ridiculous! Get ready for an angry email Mr. Katz, you were supposed to make my life as a fan better!

I thought you were referring to Cogtober but obviously you're not. Now I know what you mean by your comment, they will have more PPV's later in the year.

I figured you were talking about Cogtober, but ya I need to see the schedule to put them on the picture.

The PPVs will be when you are around then you will be torn on whether or not to buy them. Me on the other hand, I will buy them all at the beginning of the season, then it will end up that I will be at half of the ppv games. Thats what happened to me last year... Sigh...

About CityTV....They said Dec 13 but I checked and there isn't a game on the 13th. Rogers owns the station and Sportsnet owes the Oilers a certain number of games so it will be on CityTV. The 41st game is against the Flames on December 31st.

Heard this on Oilers Lunch. The sportsnet schedule should be released very soon.
The City TV game is Dec. 3 against Detroit. Also regarding the preseason TV schedule, the only one on TV is the Tampa game in
Winnipeg on the 24th. 4 of the other 7 will be streaming on the Oilers website.

Well I'm gonna hope for at least 2 games to be PPV while I am gone. Or at least one of the 3 non televised games. But people with center ice might be able to get the three non televised games.

December 3rd? Hmm. Did I hear wrong? I thought they said the 13th and I thought they said it was the 41st game of the year.

I'll take your word for it and fix the original post.

They haven't announced the Sportsnet schedule yet. I'm crossing my fingers that there will be one or two more pre-season games on tv.

I thought I heard the 3rd. Bob and Alan were also talking about how it was a good game against Detroit and it started at 5:00. I heard Alan say something about the 41st game as well. Maybe he is just confused on the game #.

maybe? But I thought that centre ice compiled everyone's television feeds? So if someone isn't already broadcasting the game, how can they be? You know what I mean?

They do. But it could just be an american provider doing the game. Say it is a Columbus game that isn't being broadcasted here but FSN Ohio is carrying the game in Columbus. Then with center ice you should be able to watch it, I mean you would have the pro-Columbus announcers, but at least you could see it live.

2 games not on TV?!? Damn, must be a product of 3 seasons of sub par performances (ie no playoffs) and the recession. That really sucks. It was hard enough to talk the wife into 10 or 12 PPV games, never mind 16!

Well, maybe we'll get at least 4 more games on CBC in mid-April.

I think with Center Ice you will get a couple extra televised preseason games.

Well I'm hoping!

Doesn't make much sense considering that the other more successful pro sports aren't taking this approach. PPV NHL is and has been a bad idea. Unless you consider NFL Sunday Ticket to be true PPV.
