Upshall makes it over Stevenson. I don't see Murray coming back, ever. He's not had a good reaction to any of the medication yet, so unless they find another treatment I don't see him coming back.

I think Gamache replaces Arkhipov. Adam Hall moves to center full time to replace Johnson. Shishkanov replaces Hall. Stevenson is replaced by Upshall.

I don't think Stevenson can be replaced by Upshall the two play a different game IMO. Upshall however could replace Orszagh

Stevenson is more physical Upshall faster and more skilled, both are gritty players though. We have more of the Stevenson types (Hall, Hartnell, Walker, Tootoo, McKenzie) on the wing than we do the Upshall types (Orszagh). Having an energy line of Upshall, Gamache and Tootoo might be a treat to watch.

Hopefully, with the success of Zidlicky, Poile might be a little more willing to take a chance. The key is to get him over here. So many Euros fail because they never really make it to America.

IMO Stevenson stays, we need 3rd and 4th line players, I don't think Upshall is going to be a 4th liner, but I could be wrong

I love his energy and how he gets under the opposing team's skin, but IMO he'll never develop any offensive skill playing on the 4th line in Nashville.

And people think he's gonna be more than a 4th liner?...I don't think he'll be more than a 4th liner...so just keep him up...he will be one helluva career pest/middleweight.

but you never know unless you try. I say play him with the Ads next year if possible. If he doesn't show signs of development after a season down there keep him up with the big club and let him be a 4th liner, but IMO there is still a chance for Tootoo to be a 30 point player

Hartnell developed just fine on the fourth line, remember his first season he averaged like 8-10 minutes a game and scored a whopping 2 goals. I don't think you can put a finesse player on the 4th line and expect him to develop but a hard nosed grinding type player develops nicely on the 4th line.

You do have a point, but I guess what concerns me is tootoo's role on the 4th line. What little ice time he logs is not spent trying to develop offensively hardly at all.

I think an argument can be made that Hartnell's development hasn't been as nice as we would like. I think he would have been better served spending one season in the Dub, but them's the breaks. Tootoo is a different player from Hartnell. Hartnell was a more polished player than Tootoo could ever hope to be. Tootoo could most certainly use plenty of ice-time in crucial game situations if he is ever to become something more than a 4th liner. I think a year in the A would do him good. He needs 20 minutes a game in ice time, becaue he has some offensive talent hidden inside him. It's just not going to develop on the 4th line. I'd have sent him to Milwaukee around a 1/4 of the way in to this season. He could be a top 2 line winger with 3 minutes a game on both the PK and the PP. He could really use that.
