Eklund: 1st Time in 2009, Sundin To Montreal

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklun...-NHL10/1/22987

Could be a solution for the second line center if Pleky doesn't work out.

I guess Eklund needs some visits.

I'd love to have him though. At the condition that he shows up VERY soon.

No Thanks, getting older and didn't do anything with Vancouver last year.I would prefer to keep some cap space at the deadline if needed for a move,I like this team the way it is right now, wouldn't do anything

Pleks will put up as good or better numbers than Sundin.

The ONLY reason I'd want Sundin on the Habs right now is because of payback. You know, for the Leafs signing Komisarek and all. What better way to piss THEM off then signing Sundin? (Plus it would make a hell of a rivalry for this season)

Otherwise, I want nothing to do with Sundin (unless he signs at a very big discount)

I understand most people not wanting him, but he is big at 6'5 and we need size down the middle. Sundin is a playoff monster, again last year he had 3g-5a in 8 games. What about Sundin at 1.5 mill.

Not going to happen and I seriously wish threads about trade rumours from Eklund would be banned.

Not going to happen anytime soon. So there is no need to waste your time replying in an Eklund thread.

As for Sundin, sure why not. For one year 2 mil.

I would do it just to see sundin v komisarek.
I'd be happy if sundin took on the same role Lang did last year as long as he comes with a serious discount!
That being said, it's from Eklund which means it won't happen.

From a site that just makes crap up. If you, or I were to post "I have been told Sundin could sign with the habs soon"It would be closed and deleted, but Eklund does it, it's left open.

How many times does he have semi big names to big names going to popular teams ? How many times does he have grinders going from one small market to another small market ? He gets people's attention, he gets people's money. I feel bad for the saps who pay for that crap. Actually, I don't.

At 10M a year cut down to about 5M for half of the season, 8pts in 8GP isn't sufficient, not to mention he did crap all during the reg.season.

What bothers me about this guy is that he took his time to come back last year and he clearly struggle to find his rhythm. One would think he'd have understand that he can't keep up with the rest after joining them halfway through the year.

The only reason I'd be somewhat interested is because of the lack of depth at center. Don't care much about his size, I'd be perfectly fine with a small center if he's a great player.

I think Bob will take his decision after camp to see whether or not we have youngsters ready enough to come help us out in case of injuries.
