What are the tie-breaker steps?

I know the first tie-breaker for teams that had the same amount of regular season points is determined by wins but what is the next step if they both had the same win total? Is it GF-GA differential or head-to-head competition?

I noticed the Isles and Preds had the same regular season record. I am wondering if two same conference teams opponents had identical records, what the next tie-breaker would be.

After the wins comparison, it's regular-season head-to-head record, then the Goals Differential. I'm not sure where it goes after that, or if that's ever been necessary, but I'm sure there's something in place just in case is does become so.

Cuthbert is correct. Points, wins, record against the other team, goal differential.

Nashville is ahead of NYI, because they won the only game between the two teams.
