Who sits? The guys who've only played 2-3 of the games in this series... aka Ryan, Beck, Latta, Santorelli, etc. Frankly, this helps solve that problem of what player to scratch/dress.

I might be imagining it, but does Lambert "favor" grinder types the way Trotz does?

I think the tougher call is on D where one of Ford or Ellis will likely sit.

Scott Ford is a veteran defensive-defenseman and Ryan Ellis is a rookie straight out of juniors that is most aptly described as a "winner". Grant Lewis sat out game 6 and will probably get the short end of the stick tonight.

With Josi and Blum out there as young offensive defensemen, I think we could see Lambert give the nod to Ellis to provide himself with as much puck-moving offensive talent as possible from the back end, but...Ford is the veteran and that cannot be overlooked.

Laakso, Blum, Josi, Palin, Johnson are gonna be in the lineup...is it Ryan Ellis or Scott Ford that take the final spot tonight...or does Lambert go with 7 D and dress both?

Regardless, always a good problem to have...GO ADS!!!

I would probably dress 7 defensemen. With that much offense from the blue line I think you could get away with it. Also never hurts to have an extra defensemen dressed, especially since the whole team was pretty sloppy in game 6 defensively.

I would go with Thang, Wilson, Bourque, Santorelli, Thurreson, Mueller, Bartlett, Halischuk, Begin, Geoffrion and Van Guilder for the wings and centers.

Smith and Engren obviously for goalie.

Only if you pay for it and even then the picture quality isn't that good.

Ads going with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen tonight. Game tied 1-1 at the end of 1.

Halischuk - Geoffrion - Bourque line dominate in the offensive end on the cycle create the goal off an exchange between Blake and Matt gives Halischuk a direct line to the net. Halischuk wasted no time getting puck to the net on a wraparound with the rebound coming straight out to Bourque in front for the goal.

Houston controlled play early and late in the period with Milwaukee getting the best through the middle portion of the frame.

Aeros tie it up late with a triple screen in front of Smith. Point shot hits Smith and the rebound banged past him before he can react.

Admirals fall to Houston by a 4-2 final in Game 7 of the Western Conference semi-finals tonight.

Halischuk and Bourque each with a goal and an assist in the loss. Geoffrion with a pair of helpers. That line was dominate on the cycle and created a lot of the quality chances for the Ads tonight.

Aeros took a 2-1 lead early in the 3rd off a very bad hop behind the Admirals net trapped Smith out of position and he couldn't get back before it was buried.

Admirals tied the game on the power play with a quick passing play between Geoffrion, Bourque, and finally to Halischuk out front.

Milwaukee with incredible pressure deep in the Aeros zone forced Hackett to make multiple saves before the puck finally gets cleared out to Casey Wellman who is sprung on a 2 on 1 with Robbie Earl before he beats Smith with a quick wrist shot from the hash marks.

Warren Peters with an easy empty net goal just after the Ads pull Smith as they rim the puck around the boards makes it 4-2 and despite another couple strong chances late, the Ads fall by that final.

Matt Hackett was the difference tonight for the Aeros. Admirals were outshot, but got multiple high quality chances that they just couldn't get past Hackett (notably a slap shot from the slot by Begin that Hackett got a glove on in the 2nd).

A disappointing end to the season for sure. Great pressure at the Aeros net and just can't get the puck in, quick transition, 2 on 1, and it's all but over...

It's never fun when the two teams you cheer for get eliminated on back to back days. Last year the Ads and Preds were both eliminated on the same day. I guess that's not much better.

Ellis looks good to me, it's hard to really judge him though since it's his first few games learning the system. He definitely has a ton of talent though.

Really has to suck for Geoffrion, Blum and Halischuk. They were very good tonight. You could definitely tell they were NHL players going up against inferior talent.

Ryan Thang should get some playing time in Nashville next year. He has a great shot and had 13 points in 13 playoff games this year.

Ads played well, just some bad breaks lost em the game.

I still don't like Smith, his rebound control is brutal. Maybe I was just concentrating on it, idk. And there was more than once he came out of the net and it seemed like he didn't know what to do with the puck and it cost him.

The reffing was solid, kudos to the refs, for once.

Houston is a big team, I thought Texas was too. Just an observation I had in the POs.

Considering the horrible officiating in the previous 6 games, the fact that they put the whistle away for the most part was refreshing.

And if the Oklahoma City Barons twitter feed is to be trusted...

Not much of a surprise after 3 concussions this season, just not big enough to handle the North American game.

Mentioned this in the prospects thread, but according to a few people on Twitter, Andreas Thuresson "unofficially" has decided to return to Sweden next season, after waiting for a chance that has thus far not really arrived.

After getting passed up by younger and better players this year can't say I blame him. With guys like Latta,Beck,Watson and others coming down the pipeline he isn't likely ever going to make the show in our organization.

Plus after the lacklustre year he had in Milwaukee this year, being completely invisible for long periods of time obviously didn't help what potential chances he may have had.

I read it in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today. The previous post was from the Admirals president.
