half visor/cage too small for bigger helmets?

Hey guys,

first time poster.

I'm pretty stoked about playing again after 10 years.. got new equipment etc etc..

my problem is that i have a Large nike bauer Helmet (don't know the model off the top of my head) but my cousin gave me a itech half visor/cage and i put it on..

the problem is that it doesn't fit properly.. when i try to close it

a) it doesn't close all the way and when i force it my temples are squished.
b) my chin doesn't sit on the chin rest, it's way below it..

so my question is, am i SOL on the half visor/cage and have to choose either half visor or full cage?

i;m afraid of the half visor as i don't wanna get hit in the mouth.. even if i go with the Oakley full aviator one. but then again i hate cages cause it messes up your vision..

thanks guys

Did your cousin tell you what size the cage/visor was? It could be you got a medium cage/visor.

Perhaps not for that model, but most cages come in multiple sizes. You need a bigger one.

They have charts with every helmet and their compatitibility with shields, visors and cages.

Actually those charts are rather outdated missing some models from now as well as the entire Easton helmet line up.

Yeah, the RBE III isn't supposed to be compatible with my helmet but it's fine.
