There's that "magnet" that's heavier than the beer and has the same geometric area (? - I never had maths in English so I don't know the correct term) as the bottom of the jar, I guess.

Actually even if the Lightning beat Carolina, the Rangers still have to beat New Jersey. The Canes have the tie breaker.

Ottawa fired their coaches.

Peter DeBoer also fired.

Coaching was definietly the problem in Sunrise. Look for them to take off once they get a competent coach!

Hilarious. They might as well blame and fire Tallon and go from there.

Why? The problem is in it's ownership. Not coaching or management.

Exactly the point. DeBoer is a fine coach and did all he could. Maybe he'll have more luck in NJ or OTT.

It's a good thing Ottawa fired their head coach. Not sure how much of it's Cory Clouston fault, but when Dany Heatley(NTC) and Jason Spezza(NTC) want out, and Mike Fisher (NTC) who has been there his whole career accepts a trade to Nashville, somethings needs to be done.

I think that had more to do with his personal life than anything.

With someone starting a Marty St. Louis for Hart thread on the main boards, I'd like to bring this tweet up again

Not sure why so many are annointing the Lightning as a playoff team. Lecavalier, St. Louis on downside, defence very iffy.

We all knew it was stupid at the time back in September, but now it looks even worse.

Vinny was named the NHL's 2nd star of the week; Dan Ellis 3rd.

How dumb would someone have to be to buy a ticket for that? Don't they realize how slim their chances are?

No clear cut #1 in this year's draft so we probably won't get a "Player X doesn't look happy to be going to the team that won the lottery" thread like the Stamkos one a few years ago.

You know what would be hilarious? If the Rags win this game and Neuvirth has a bad start in Game 2 if Boohoodreau panics for the 3rd year in a row and switches to Varlamov.

Come on Rangers, earn it.
