This is what I'd like. Vertigo isn't bad, but imagine 21k fans chanting this. It would be of epic proportions. Would please the francos, don't think anyone would complain about it, and finally it would really fit the team. I wish the organization gave a chance to Loco Locass instead of going with Simple Plan. This song is just epic, but the ''Allez, allez, allez, allez Montréal'' part would be perfect after goals.

For a goal song eh... Maybe for a victory song or a pre-game chant..

Either way, people will probably think we stole this from soccer too.

I don't know, I think it would be epic as a goal song. I agree though, just people chanting it during the game would be as epic. Kinda like ''Go Habs Go'' and ''Olé''.

And you can tell people we stole our team name, our colors and our players from soccer if they are so concerned about it. So ****ing what. It sounds good, our arena rocks like none and I'm proud to sing a ''soccer chant'' when I go see the Habs.

They should have personalized goal songs in the NHL. Sorry but that would be epic.

I thought the Simple Plan song was a fine goal song. If people ignored that it was Simple Plan, I'm sure more people would've liked it.

I think that would be cool, sort of like they do with baseball players when they come up to bat.

I'm very happy to hear this. I was using vertigo in NHL 09 for our goal song because the simple plan song was too boring and.... Meh.

People may hate on it for whatever reasons, but I think it's a great goal song.

Maybe we could start a tradition of singing Loco Locass' Le But chorus when the third period starts as a rallying chant of some sort.

I think it would be awesome (even more so if the habs are behind by 5 goals).

Yep.

Yup.

Imagine ''Allez, allez, allez, aaaaaaaaallez Montrealll!'' sung by 21k inside the Bell Center. The roof would go off.

The Simple Plan song is cursed, anyway.

We played better with Vertigo

Vertigo is terrible. Way better than "My generation" still. We scored in bunches with vertigo on so I guess bringing it back is legitimate.

And I hate U2, they are the definition of overrated.

Don't like Vertigo or Simple Plan's song here... I will always be a L'Oreille fan until they find something better. And the probably won't find it with some top forty pop artists. But still I am happy whenever we score of course, and U2 isn't going to diminish my joy after every goal

Ya....It was slower but had a more "dance" style beat. I noticed it too, but I wasn't sure because it wasn't your typical broadcast.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I liked the Simple Plan Go Habs Go goal song. I really hate U2 and I'm not the biggest fan of the song Vertigo in general so I'm not really happy about it at all, but L'Orielle coming back would have been amazing.

That Allez Montreal song sounds really really good too, that'd be excellent.

I've always thought the goal song they used in Euro 2008 would be a cool hockey goal song, although I'm not sure how the specifics of licensing work where if they can even do it if a team wanted to. Maybe it's too soccer-ish, but I'd like it. Here's a link:

Ugh it's baaack. Simple Plan blows but I honestly could barely hear the song itself last season anyways so it didn't bug me every night. Could not believe it when I heard Vertigo after Gomez scored. I hate that damn song something fierce.

If they didnt do Lorielle I agree. Lorielle would be, bar none, the best goal song in the league.

I do like the individual songs in Ottawa though. It actually adds a lot to it all, and the strong association follows you.

In Ottawa:

Beautiful Day (Dance Mix) - Alfie
I like the way you move - Spezza
Jump (Van Halen) - Foligno

Former:

Big Gun - Redden
The Heat is On - Heatley

I just wish they would do it for all of the players instead of a select few.

I see your point there and Imma let you finish, but TI laid the sickest song on that beat.
