I am disappointed. We should be at midseason form right off the bat. You can't win the gameday thread cup the first day of the preseason, but you can sure lose it.

I don't do preseason GDTs. I simply cannot get into preseason hockey, not when football is in full swing.

The football doesn't affect me, but the fact that I can't watch it anywhere makes me significantly unexcited for the game.

The training day 2 video on bluejackets.com said something about being able to watch it on bluejackets.com. I was a bit surprised by that, but maybe they mean on gamecenter.nhl.com or maybe they really will be streaming it.

I know this isn't televised but will a radio feed be available anywhere?
If not, SKRAUT - you need to go to Mellon Arena and give us a play-by-play like you did on Sunday!

So far, I'm liking it. This is like "The Anti-GDT".

I predict a big win.
Garon stops 57 shots.
Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time.

You can go to 97.1 "The Fan" and listen to all the games via their live feed.

I only did it because someone said "anti GDT" I hereby avow not to include that statement in any GDT this season.

Hmm, well I'd be missing it anyway. Stupid 6-10 class, why did I go back to school??

Naah, I'm under the weather

I am dropping something off at the R-Bar for those who want a more "Interactive" experience of tonight's game.

It's not on TV anywhere, so no, they can't show it.

But you will be able to hear the call of the game, and see a couple hours of highlights from last season.

Yeah, I've been thinking it would be nice if Center Ice would show the pre-season games free of charge as a bait for sign ups.

In For Pens, tonight, according to PuckRakers:

Forwards: Ryan Bayda, Chris Conner, Sidney Crosby, Pascal Dupuis, Ruslan Fedotenko, Eric Godard, Dustin Jeffrey, Chris Kunitz, Zach Sill, Jordan Staal, Eric Tangradi, Joe Vitale.

Defense: Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres, Mark Eaton, Deryk Engelland, Sergei Gonchar, Jay McKee.

Goaltenders: Marc-Andre Fleury, Brad Thiessen

Looks like it should be a pretty good test for our guys! Outcome is not important, of course, but I'd certainly like to see a competetive game out of our younger players. A season's tone can be set very early and I'm anxious for this team to build off the playoff experience of last year, right from the start of the season.

Tempting... I was going to go out and buy NHL 10 and try to sync up the game to the radio.

I'm a couple of blocks from Mellon Arena right and thought about going over to cheer for the good guys. Ticketmaster says standing room only tickets are $50. I am now accepting donations. Support your CBJ and me money!

I'm most interested to see how Filatov, Sestito and Moore do.

To me, Sestito, on paper, is what our fourth line has been missing.

Something in my gut tells me that Howson may have thoughts of Moore sticking with the big team. Time will tell.

I'm also interested in Mayorov. Be interesting to see him with Brass and alternating Niki & Jake.
