Dubinsky apparently will earn about $1.7 mil this season and $2 million in 2010-11

Dubinsky's contract calls for $1.7 million this season and $2.0 the next. The Rangers finally moved up to meet his demands.

Really didn't expect Dubi's agent to win this one.

Thank God. Wonder if he plays Monday night or if they have him go through camp for a little while and wait until Thursday.

Well if he got $3.7 mil total for the next two years he should have no complaints. Like Callahan he might be a little high for what he's done so far. He's going to have to go out and earn it now.

That's a very fair deal. Dubinsky gets good money for the next two years and we carry a modest cap hit. It sucks he had to miss one week of camp, but this ends up working out pretty well I think.

Wow, glad he's signed but also really shocked to see him win by holding out. Hopefully this doesn't have a negative impact in future RFA negotiations.

Heh, some of you are saying thats a lot, but before this whole fiasco started...most here were expecting him to get signed for just under Callahan money

Good deal for both sides... if he performs... we get him at a bargain and he has to wait 2 years to cash in (bigger than he has I mean) and if he doesn't then we overpay him for two years.

Ok wait.... what in the hell were they originally asking for??? This seems more than fair for dubinsky in fact it seems quite generous of Glen... They musth ave been asking for 2.2 a year or something originally.

Dubi needs to get rid of this agent before the next round of negotiations.

Sure would have liked to see him end up in Boston somehow in the Phil Kessel trade (it was rumored a couple of times).

Great deal.
