Lol also anyone notice Rozsival's stupid spin-o-rama trying to do something... And later on the same play the Wings burned Rozsival and Redden and scored.

Lol they are SO bad its laughable.

I could care less about "inexperience"... When the rookies are BETTER then the veterans then its time to move on and find a way to dump the overpaid vets.

our goaltending in the 3rd, and our defense for the entire game was beyond putrid. Rozsival and Redden were just....the worst.....ever.

Hmm, yes, replacing Redden and Rozsival with rookies who can play their 20 minutes per night against other teams best players sounds like a good idea

Two players who really impressed me were AA and Boyle. Everytime the Wings came back on the rush, Anisimov was in the play in the defensive zone EVERY time. Always back-checks hard.

Boyle made a few nice plays, too. I thought he had a nice play in the 1st when Voros lost the puck, and Boyle took the body, Rangers regained possession and put on pressure. But damn, he's got some stone hands.

i dont think its a smart idea either...but you cant play this kind of a system with those 2 playing like this night in and night out...they were horrendous against joizee too.

but, it is just the preseason. im not getting really bent outta shape for this quite yet.

TOTALLY agree...Brian Boyle to me looked like one of the best players on the ice for either team every single time he was out there.

4-3 Wings. To make a long story short and be nice about it, Zaba had a less than stellar start to the 3rd period.

AA, Lisin, Callahan.

AA was responsible for both the first 2 goals though, great plays on both of them.

IMO, one of the best things the Rangers did tonight was create turnovers on the forecheck at the offensive blueline. Like you said, that's how AA created the goal. I noticed at least 4 instances that this happened and led to offensive pressure

it was a strange game to watch because, in the first 2 preseason games, i thought the forwards were more or less miserable, and the defense was pretty damn good. in this one i thought the defense was miserable, and the forwards were pretty damn good.

go figure.

though it probably has a lot to do with playing against 2 defensive teams in the first 2 games, and against an offensive team tonight.

Who would you guys compare Anisimov to now that you've seen him?

EDIT: By seen him I mean more than just watching highlights and him being called up for 1 game last season

You forgot the

But seriously, he doesn't remind one bit of Crosby. Crosby is like a ballet dancer on the ice, in both a good and a bad way

hey guys I was at the game right by the Ranger bench

Get this!!!........Gordie Howe was their like 6 rows back, we got his autograph on our ticks.......and at the end of the Game Callahan through up his stick for my buddy.........the non Ranger fan out of us two of course,haha........it was pretty damn cool

Honestly things were fantastic after 2. Then Zaba just shiat the bed..............

I have a ton of observations if you have questions on guys

The D-
Redden and Rozy really did stink. terrible Turnovers
Sanguinetti made some mistakes defensively and Sullivan gave him an ear full for it. I was right by the Goalies next to the bench
Potter made some mistakes too
Semenov is a freaking Giant. He could be our Hal Gil on the PK, I like him as the 7th Dman
Heikkinen is freaking hilarious when carrying the puck, he sticks his toungue and smiles when making hits. Oh and for his play he was pretty solid overall. He had the best showing in my eyes out of the rooks on D

I am voting for Gilroy, Heikkinen ,Semenov based on 2nite for the final 3 spots

The russian kid line was freaking sweeeeet........I can see Grachev going down and Gaborik on that line. Yea I know rookie C but Gaborik can play with anyone I think

Higgins, Drury, Callahan should be kept together.

Boyle looked good. I think he has the 4th line C spot

Parenteau did well too

Anyone any questions shoot

Watched the game late but just came in here to say the exact same thing. Both looked fantastic.

I think Voros-Boyle-Brash will be our 4th line.

Oh and I think both Gilroy and MDZ looked better than any defensemen out there tonight.

Sangs played a good game overall, pretty solid in his own zone (esp. breakout) but didn't deliver offensively as much as I was expecting. Still showed great passing ability, good vision, and decent poise.

I wasn't as impressed with Heikkenen as some others seem to be in here. Personally I thought he made more mistakes than he did contributions.
