That's not good, but we'll see what his injury is and I rather have him injured now than the reg.season.
There's a bunch of youngsters that won't be scared to drop the gloves tonight, so no loss there tonight.

Relax there's 5 games in 5 days, plenty of time for SK, Chip, Laraque and whoever is missing in the line up and is causing you to wet your panties.

That's indeed the funny part. For the first time in I don't know when, we potentially have the roster to have 6 fights (Gill, Henry, Mara, Moen, Neilson, Conboy) Does Belle fights as well?

For the Sens, well apart from Neil, ex-habs pick Carkner can go as well. So does the big bad Yablonski. And Bass as well. But Yablonski is a serious customer. Not sure that I would send Conboy on him.

Exactly, if he's not ready for that game, then I'll be worried.

Calm down every one, François Gagnon just said on his blog that Jacques Martin will revealed the MINOR injury of Laraque after the practice! So, it's not his back and i'm sure he'll be 100% come the REGULAR season!

The line-up really sucks. I should have gone yesterdays game instead of today.

12h27: Laraque est blessé au bas du corps, rien de sérieux. S’entraîne hors-glace aujourd’hui. Ce n’est pas relié à ses maux de dos.

We really need to sticky a thread around here on how the LTIR thing works. After 4 years of this new CBA, there is still mass confusion.

He still counts on the cap even if he's hurt and placed on LTIR. If a player placed on LTIR, we can exceed the cap by that player's salary with a ''replacement''.

Yes we are paying him on the cap. Only if BGL is on injured reserve, does he not count on cap.

It doesn't count on the salary cap, but it's $1.5 million that could be spent elsewhere.

NHLers like Laraque shouldn't be fighting minor leaguers just so these stiffs can make a name for themselves anyways.

Looks like we got plenty of beef in the lineup anyways. Fights happen more often than the regular season, but it isn't like it's just a slugfest. Coaches do want to see their prospect hockey players play also not just their boxing ballerinas on skates.

So lower body injury, not related to his bad back.

that's good. training camp is the time of year for groin and hamstring injuries. all the off-season training doesn't really prep you for camp. it's an intense couple of weeks... these are bound to occur.

I'm just glad that he doesn't aggravate his injury. Take your time George, we'll need you against TO.

I agree. The media probably exagerrated this once again. Instead of telling the public that Laraque is probably resting, they insinuate nonsense that he is already injured.

I would not play a player that is not near 100% in a pre-season game, we all saw that major injuries could still produce in the pre-seaon games. Last night's game between the Flames and Islanders is a perfect example, where Okposo nearly had a career threatning injury.

I think he's just resting up for the Bruins pre-season games

Exactly. I hope that people don't have their expectations too high. But Yablonski will school Conboy I believe. Conboy should start with Carkner or Bass. Even Neil with the experience that he has, won't care about Conboy's height. People should realize that on the ice, Conboy didn't fight for 2 years now. And most of his bouts were against much smaller guys.

Give the time to the guy to hit the gym and become stronger. Chances are Neilson would have a better success tonight if something happens. But the only one that could take Yablonski would have been Big George.
