As per Canadiens.com:
MONTREAL - A day after dropping the Panthers 3-2 in their first preseason match-up on Thursday, the Habs get set to host the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre on Friday night.
Jacques Martin's squad is currently in the midst of a five-games-in-five-nights launch to the preseason.
Coming off stellar debuts by new Habs Scott Gomez, Mike Cammalleri and Jaroslav Spacek, four other newcomers will get their feet wet in their new NHL home against the Sens.
The quartet of players about to pull on the bleu-blanc-rouge and introduce themselves to the Bell Centre faithful for the first time on Friday include summer free agent acquisitions Brian Gionta, Travis Moen, Paul Mara and Hal Gill.
Habs fans everywhere were probably hoping to get their first look at Alex Kovalev in his new uniform, but instead Kovy did not make the trip to Montreal and will be in the lineup against the Canadiens in Ottawa on Saturday night.
Mara's Habs debut will see him paired up with Roman Hamrlik, while Gill will be teaming up with Yannick Weber. Local blue line product Mathieu Carle will also be in the lineup.
Judging from his line combos during training camp scrimmages, the new Habs coach will match Gionta with Tomas Plekanec and Max Pacioretty.

I'm worried about our second line. I got to witness firsthand last night how solid Gomez is as our number one center. The speed he had through the neutral zone was spectacular. I'm really hoping Plecks can find his "A" game this year without Kovalev on his wing. If he can we're gonna be a speedy son of a team.
Tonight should be interesting to see the OTHER newcomers (Gionta, Gill, Mara, Moen)... I have a feeling if Markov/Spacek don't play our D are gonna caught flat-footed on a few Spezza rushes though
On a side note, I was at the game last night and the Habs Zone isn't carrying any of the rookie t-shirts yet, much to my dismay... Let's hope Subban gets called up early enough for me to rock his tshirt all season

Personally I think both Pleks and AKosty play better without Kovy on the ice. Last year AKost's stats were ridiculous, he scored like 90% of his points when he played with anyone but Kovalev. Both of them tended to wait for him to carry the puck in, don't know what to do with themselves half the time. Losing Kovalev will hurt the PP and shootout and definitely reduce the number of highlight-reel goals (for both teams) on many nights, but the two people who will miss him least will be his former linemates, I suspect.
