Whatever happened to these guys?

Can anyone tell me what ever became of these bums!!!
Boris Mironov
Alexander Karpotsev (biggest waste of a roster spot in NHL history)
Valeri Zelepukin
Igor Korolev
Mikhail Yakubov
Andrea Trefilov

And how about these guys who weren't worthless garbage like the above

Vladimir Chebaturkin
Igor Radulov
Pavel Vorobiev
Alex Zhamnov
Sergei Krivokrasov
Dimitri Nabokov

Last I recall Nabokov and Chebaturkin were still playing in Russia and Zhamnov had retired because of injury.

What was wrong with Zelepukin? Very respectable 2-way player.

Oh, here we go. A guy that managed to whine about a 19 y.o. european prospect that scored 11 pts in 5 SEL games because he's not a north american?

Why are you intrested in the destiny of this untermensch european bums? Better ask about this NA studs like Mark Bell, Kyle Calder, Eric Daze, Ty Jones, Steve McCarthy etc.

P.S. if anyone from this list was a worthless garbage, that's Chebaturkin. He even lost a fight to 5'7 Ladislav Kohn LOL. Kohn is a very good scrapper for his size, but Chebaturkin is like 230 lbs.

Well I wouldn't' call them utter garabage, but maybe I would call Karpotsev and Yakubov garbage. I watched these guys when they played in Florida for a short time (used to be a panther fan), and by NHL standards, they were very bad players. The other guys seem pretty respectable for the most part.

Well the guys on the 1st list were worthless and tending to be embarrassment's to the Blackhawks.

Bobo and his constant complaints about his contract including a holdout , Karpotsev's refusal to play when he didn't feel like it, Korolev's constant fights with coaching staff, Yakubov's being a downright cancer during his North American stay including demands that he be given 1st line minutes, Trefilov showing up overweight and refusing to train. Zelepukin's constant complaints about the play of his teammates.

The other Russian players I actually liked what I saw from them. Zhamnov was very good player and guys like Krivokrasov had there moments. Radulov and Vorobiev showed talent but Hawks gave up on them to early and Nabokov was a very talented defensive player but many people seemed to think he was an offensive talent. He could have been a great 3rd line C and PK.

Karpotsev was the worst. That sums up how Blackhawks fans and most of management felt about him.

And Like I said Yakubov came over and felt entitled to everythng. Vorobiev worked hard to try and get to NHL. Yakubov expected to be handed the role.

Now seriously I would like to know what has happened to these players.

I believe I heard Krivokrasov was involved in a Marty McSorley type incident in Russia involving an stick being against rules.

Zhamnov is GM of Vityaz. Karpovtsev is assistant coach in Kazan. Mironov attempted a comeback this year and is playing somwhere in the high league I think. Not sure about others.

Just because some of them played for really bad Blackhawks squads doesn't mean they were necessarily bad players. I suppose Eric Daze would have been terrible in your eyes just because he was always injured... Anyways, I'll humor you...

Vlad Chebaturkin, last played for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk
Alexander Karpovtsev, retired, assistant coach for champion Ak Bars Kazan
Igor Korolev, plays for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl
Sergei Krivokrasov, retired
Boris Mironov, retired
Dmitri Nabokov, plays for a tier-2 team in Austria
Igor Radulov, plays for Metallurg Magnitogorsk
Andrei Trefilov, retired
Pavel Vorobiev, plays for MVD Balashikha
Mikhail Yakubov, plays for Severstal Cherepovets
Valeri Zelepukin, retired
Alexei Zhamnov, retired, general manager of Vityaz Chekhov (I believe)

Daze was an injury prone player but he never did anything that warranted hate. Just like Zhamnov I had no ill will towards them.

But guys like Mironov and Karpotsev furthered the stereotype of the heartless Russian who just wanted money and didn't give a @$@(

It is just how they were.

What does MVD stand for? I could have swore that was your Ministry of Internal Affairs. At least that was its name during Soviet years.

it's still stands for the same. Karpovtsev and Boris Mironov were both really good players, played for the crappy hawks teams at the dawn of their NHL careers, u sound pretty stupid when u start genealizing. unitl last year and for the decade hawks wer a loughing stock.
