I think so.

We needed a big point shot, we all know that, and we got Spacek! But I didn't know Mara can shoot too... so I think that gives up two big point shots for two PP units! Maybe Gorges would be a good guy to partner with Mara, as a set-up man?!?

I can't wait for Oct. 1st

Maybe, but I seriously doubt it. I'd be happy with top 10.

Keep in mind there are A LOT of teams with far better PP weapons then Montreal. Pittsburgh, Chicago, San Jose, Calgary, Boston, Philly etc just to name a few. To have the best PP is asking too much imo.

Markov is a TOP powerplay weapon. The Habs have had a good PP often in the recent seasons, mostly because of Markov and Kovalev. Markov is still here. Cammalleri is in to do Kovalev's old job. Plus, Spacek to play the trigger role.

Top PP? As long as Gomez can win the faceoffs.

I think we have the potential to be top 5 this year for PP.

I think it will take sometime for everyone to gel together. But I can definitely see us having a top 5 power play this season.

I'd just love for the PP to stop being #1 in the regular season, and garbage in the playoffs.

I don't think we will have the top PP, but top five is still sounds great.

Markov doesn not a number 1 PP make. He's all that and a bucket of chicken but there's a lot of other teams out there that have some really good weapons of their own.

Philly- Pronger, Gagne, Briere, Richards etc...
Anaheim - Neids, Selanne, Getlaf, Perry etc..
Pens - Gonchar, Sid, Malkin etc...
Chicago - Campbell, Kane, Toews etc...
Calgary - Phaneuf, JayBo, Iggy, etc...
Detroit - Lidstrom, Dats, Zetterburgh etc...
Boston - Chara, Savard, Ryder etc...
Montreal - Markov, Cammy, Gomez etc...

All I'm saying is that there are many other teams that also have some deadly PP units due to the talent on them and Montreal is among them. I just don't think we're a favorite to be the top PP but defiantely we should be top 10 on paper.

Except those guys are elite players because of their ES ability...
The Pens' PP sucked for the most part last year even with all their talent. A lot of factors go into having a good PP, but it seems that Markov + a trigger man is a money combo on the PP.
