What are the chances none of Stew/BGL makes the team?

How likely is it that none of Stewart and BGL are in the opening lineup against the Leafs on October 1st?

Could Conboy or Neilson fill up for them? Or maybe we go for a more offensive/skilled-oriented lineup with D'Ago, Sergei and Pacioretty all playing.

Cammalleri - Gomez - Kostitsyn Sr
Latendresse - Plekanec - Gionta
Pacioretty - Lapierre - Kostitsyn Jr
Moen - Metropolit - Conboy

This sounds good

Doubt it. Why conboy over stewart? Conboy isn't NHL ready, he can't even be a 13th forward unless he plays 2 min a game. I'd rather make him develop and make him be able to play a regular 4th line shift in the nhl in time than do this.

The opening night game against the laffs will be a slugfest. Conboy is not ready. The fight I saw him in was a joke. He needs to learn to fight, that's his role on any NHL team. Neilson isn't ready as a hockey player, but might fill the role we need for that game.

Who knows about BGL. He's an official enigma, I'd say. *THE* Enigman.

But if he can't play, sure, I'd think Stewart would be a natural to play.

Conboy needs a couple of years of development for his strength and ability to catch up with his spirit. Then we'll see. Neilson just isn't capable of playing in the NHL, IMHO.

Once again, Alex Henry a guy who has been fighting against pros for a while got his handed to him by Carkner as well.

Laraque is a lock. If he's healthy all season, then he'd probably play about 70ish games.

One and/or the other will be with the team throughout the year, I'm guessing, just not dressed every night.

I really like Stewart; I hope he gets a fair shake this year, though Laraque is obviously a true heavyweight if that's the need one one night or the other.

How none? Stewart could play himself off the team and Laraque is hurt. I think it's a stronger possibility than most think.

I think our fighter ranking is: 1. Laraque 2. Stewart 3. Neilson. Conboy is not even close to ready. He needs to get bigger & stronger. He's a lightweight in a 6-foot-4 body.

Not sure why but Stewart hasn't had a lot of chances to play this exhibition season & I think that bodes well for him. Habs know what he's about sort of thing. Either that or he's injured.

If Laraque & Stewart are healthy for Game One I think Martin dresses both of them.

Cammer -- Gomez -- A. Kost.
????? -- Pleks -- Gionta
Moen -- Lapierre -- Latendresse
Stewart -- Metropolit -- Laraque

There's one spot open for Patches, S. Kost. or D'ago. I think Patches will play Game 1 in Tor. His size & speed will be useful against a big Leafs D.

It's an absolute MUST to have Latendresse or Pacioretty playing top 6. Otherwise, we'd only have Andreï Kostitsyn with a big body on our top 6 and this isn't a good plan.

Pacioretty - Pleks - Gionta didnt convinced me yet but we'll see if Tender does better tonight with the two. I think he will...
