instead of arnot
montreal should ask for Dumont
he's a more complete player, gets more points, from montreal, younger (31) and costs less (4mill)
arnot plays average 60 games a year, less points, older (34) and costs more (4.5 mil)
I think the Habs still need help up front. I would say we are better team than lastyear but I am concerned who's going to score for us. Where are these goals going to come from.

From Koivu, Kovalev, Higgins and Tanguay.... Oups, they're all gone !
If it doesn't come from Renaud Lavoie's Blackberry ... it ain't true!
Seriously this guy is annoying ... RDS is annoying ... Montreal medias are annoying for christ sake. The fact that we have such a ****** covering for the Habs is beyond me.
1) radulov is still under contract and on his ELC since he left part way through that contract it runs and remains in place until he "uses it up" by playing in north america.
2) the preds have an internal cap. they wouldnt pay phil kessell 5.4 mil per because they wouldve went over their internal cap.. why the bloody hell would they want hammer who makes 5.5 mil AND is a defencemen when theyre glaring need is offense?! do they REALLY need a 5.5 mil dollar #4 dman? there is no way hammer is better than shea weber or ryan suter and they have dan hamhuis, teemu laakso (the preds guys on the board are stating the'll be on the team this year) and kevin klein for sure and they have jonathon blum and cody franson in the minors.
3) the rumored deal for kessell to the preds was the rights to radulov, jon blum and 1st (and i think a second) which amounts to 3 1sts and a 2nd (if the second was indeed part of it). that should put their needs into perspective given they were willing to give up THAT much for an offensive boost. all the trades in this thread have them losing offense or replacing offensive players with other offensive players.. ie. lateral moves.
4) arnott is their captain.. erat is one of their best wingers..
from last years team would you trade koivu + kovalev for plekanec and hammer + whatever else is the flavour the week for habs trades?
better yet, forget last years team.. from the year before when koivu had one of his best years and kovalev was considered the best player on the team. y'all would say no because it makes no sense and its ridiculous, so why would the preds want to make any of these trades?

We don't have a skills problem, we have a size problem.
Roman Hamrlik D Out Sep 19 flu Day-to-day Roman Hamrlik missed Friday's game due to an illness. Hamrlik had 33 points and 62 penalty minutes in 81 games last season. Consider him day-to-day for now. 9/19/2009
I don't remember exactly everything but I'm pretty sure he something like when I play against him(Drummondville) I didn't notice him at all(meaning hes not even that good) why is everyone freaking out over him, talking 2-3 years ago...

Yes.. Let me see if I can find a source to support this.....
ok all I found was this that article that states what Habs 4 life wrote...
"il avait aussi affirmé qu’il ne comprenait pas ce que faisait Guillaume Latendresse avec le Canadien. Comment pouvait-il jouer dans la LNH "alors qu’il était invisible avec les Voltigeurs."
loose translation: He also said that he didn't understand what Latandresse was doing with le Canadiens. How could he play in the NHL when he was invisible with les Voltigeurs...
I just listened to Martin's post game (on Habs I/O) from last night and he said (injury updates):
Hamrlik: He said that Hamrlik was at the rink for the first time yesterday, did about half hour of off ice workout. He said since he's missed the entire camp they need to go day to day with him. Maybe a possibility to play Saturday but they will judge that as they move along.
Laraque: Skated with the trainer for half an hour and made some good progress. Might be ready to practice with the team Wednesday or Thursday. Close to being back.
