When will Tlusty become a full-time NHLer?

..supposedly a real one with at least 2nd line duties...or as some project on these boards as a top line winger () or at worst as a checker/journeyman...

p.s. GIROUX

No worries, thanks though. Makes you wonder what the harm would be of voting on a preset answer poll, but I will not question the powers that be.

He hasn't done much to impress me in the pre season. I don't know what it is with him.

C'MON TLUSTY, MAN UP!

It's pretty clear by the treatment he gave Bobby Ryan, that Burke is willing to wait for Tlusty to earn that spot. My guess is he will go back to the Marlies before he gets his chance. He has looked underwhelming in his two games, which tells us he's still got some work to do. But, injuries will happen (and for the mods, no, I'm not hoping for them), and he'll get his shot. What he must do is make sure he is the guy they call up.

Hasn't done much in camp. He should get another shot this year though, as he has nothing more to prove at the AHL level.

He'll be sent back down to the Marlies for the start of the season. After a couple of injuries, he will get called up to the Leafs... at which point he'll score like a maniac and never look back...

I think it will be this year. I'm just not sure whether it will be with the Leafs.

I think one more trade may be in the works and I could see Tlusty packaged with a defender and perhaps something else, going for a first line forward. That good year in the AHL will attract somebody even it it doesn't impress the Leafs brass.

Fulltime next year, he'll see some time this year though.

I don't see him as being any sort of impact player though.

Personally, I can see Tlusty being a very big impact player. He has the pure skill to enable him to become a 70 point player in this league. He just has to get physically stronger, and he has to be more willing to go into the tough areas of the ice. He annoys the hell of me when he rushes down the ice, and constantly stays on the outside. He has to start cutting to the middle, and really assert himself.

Until he does that, he'll be an AHLer. He has what it takes, I just don't think he knows it. If he had Grabovski's balls he'd be on our first line.

Who knows? He certainly does not stand out at the top level. He has to learn to impose his will out there to make the leap.

Exactly. It's like he wants to get hit along the boards or drift away from the play rather than ever take a risk in the middle. Question is, will he ever change?

Someone has to get cut.

Stralberg,Bozak,Hanson,Kadri have all looked good. Now we have added Kessel. There is no room for Tlusty in the top 6.Blake,Stempniak,Kessel,Poni,Grabovski,Kulemin,Ha gman,Stajan all in front of the kids.Someone has to go,it looks like Tlusty.
