I said the exact same thing. Matt Stajan before he gained weight last off-season, to be exact.

Bozak is a far better skater, better with the puck and looks to be a better finisher also.

I too see the Stajan comparison. but I think there is a higher offensive ceiling and better intangeables. I think he'll be like a Patrick Sharp for us.

Stajan with passion maybe.... Stajan with a better work ethic maybe....

Stajan's not a bad player, he just doesn't seem very motivated. Bozak seemingly has a much stronger work ethic, and has been known to have a slight edge to his game... If Stajan was in incredible shape and threw the occasional hit, I'd be very happy for him to be on the team.

Stajan plays like Joe Thornton.... just without the incredible skillset.

From what I've seen so far of him, obviously he isn't there yet but he reminds me of Gilmour. Just the way he slides through checks and finishes off plays. That goal against Boston was amazing.

Thats what i thought.. in th "Bozak ceiling thread, everyone is saying around 60 points in his prime...
Stajan was at 55 points last, year at only age 25...

I see more of a Paul Stastny with a bit of Crosby, Ovechkin, and Malkin.

That said, we should trade him for picks.

A faster, stronger, shorter, more gritty version of Matt Stajan.

Punch nailed it with Drury...but a young Drury of course, when he was faster...

Nieuwendyk is at a much higher level offensively.

I think he can be our number 2 center some day no issue..... he might even contend for number but that's much much much much less likely because of the skill kadri's got

I hope Bozak makes the team this year. Getting some good vibrations (to steal an outdated saying) from him and can see a surprise year from him.
