Now McGuire says people are still shaking their heads over Habs trading McDonagh for Gomez.....went on about McDonagh's great pedigree. Everything's negative about the Habs.
I'm getting very close to changing the channel to RDS.
You have to give it to McGuire though....he's been pretty consistant. At least he has an opinion and he'll stick by it....though 2 years ago, I remember him praising the Habs like there's no tomorrow, every day of every week at the Melnyk show saying how lucky as Habs fans we were.....So I guess he adjusted his views on the Habs....
One thing though. McDonagh had a good pedigree in this board until he was traded. We acknowledge that he had an ordinairy World Juniors. Also acknowledge that he had a bad start of the year last year but Montreal did say that he improved as the season progressed. But at this time, he would still be amongst our top 5. Which wouldn't be bad. So if Gomez and Gionta don't work out, well it would indeed be a bad move. Which is what McGuire is thinking. We'll see who looks like a fool in the end. At least he has an opinion which will permit us to laugh at him or admit that he was right.
