Gio so fast.

Lats has been doing that as well, and throwing bigger hits...

I want to see now the justification Im going to get from Cam A Larry and MathMan of how Pacioretty shouldn't be on the team.

I hope Maxwell does well tonight. I can really see him stepping in if Pleks gets hurt during the season. He had a great game the other night against Ottawa.

One thing though. McDonagh had a good pedigree in this board until he was traded. We acknowledge that he had an ordinairy World Juniors. Also acknowledge that he had a bad start of the year last year but Montreal did say that he improved as the season progressed. But at this time, he would still be amongst our top 5. Which wouldn't be bad. So if Gomez and Gionta don't work out, well it would indeed be a bad move. Which is what McGuire is thinking. We'll see who looks like a fool in the end. At least he has an opinion which will permit us to laugh at him or admit that he was right.
I was a huge fan of McDonagh's even before we drafted....I hit my head on my ceiling from jumping for joy when Timmins called his name. McGuire's problem is that he sounds like a broken record and even though he calls a lot of games, I don't find he keeps close tabs on what prospects do in their respective leagues. He repeats the same things about the same prospects all the time.

McGuire's been very doom and gloom about the Habs play tonight.....you'd think this game actually mattered and that this was the exact team we'll be fielding on the ice next Thursday.

There's very little argument, if any, to counter anybody saying Lats was rushed.

MaxPac is playing well, but still needs to improve. Still think it's D'Ago's or SKost's spot to lose.

Mcguire is like a broken record and that is his problem, for example the Latendresse was rushed argument he says every time he can .. ok we get it .. you are probably right, now shut up about it already, its 3 years later . are you going to be saying the same thing when the guy has 10 NHL seasons under his belt?

I like Mcguire, I think he is smart and knows his hockey, I like that he gets excited about young players, but sometimes it just seems like he just says the same 5-7 things over and over and over again.

Well the bolded part, you know that I totally agree with you and kept mentioning this 1000 times. He kept saying 1 million times how Emelin was the best d-man outside of NA which I'm totally sure he said that reminding himself what he looked like.....in the World Juniors. In no way does an expert would have said that if he would have followed him for real.

As far as sounding like a broken record, well he does say, day after day, how we suck so that's also true. He hates our pro scouting (he's not entirely wrong...), and hates Gainey like no other. Respect the man, hates the GM. Likes Timmins who was responsible for giving us such a marvelous team 2 years ago. I wonder what he thinks about Timmins now since the team is so bad, from his own words.

Agreed on both points.

Absolutely. Best of all is he looks like he's always having fun out there. Habs need this sort of attitude transformation after last season.

The more and more I watch these games, the more confident I am that the Habs wil get consistantly better and better as the year goes on due to JM's tutilage.

I think they picked up A LOT of bad habits under Carbo's more lienent program that will be rectified under JM new system. Defensively is where they really seem to be lacking, even though it's hard to judge because we really haven't seen the full Dcorp in action yet. Reguardless, the youngones have a lot to learn and we have some improving to do defensively.
