Yeah, it'd be great if Syvret could play pretty much on par with Jones so we could shed his salary somehow.

Thank you! I'll be hooking up my laptop to my flatscreen if the stream looks good enough

I believe the HD Channel for TCN is 201. If you look at your guide you won't see it on there but when the game starts you should be able to punch in that channel...

I think I did that last year. Worth a shot.

Edit: http://www.csnphilly.com/pages/inner_09/comcast_faq

On this page it lists the channel numbers for TCN. Channel 8 and Channel 201.

Giroux money??
JVR's contract is 850K a year, and he can earn up to 850K in cap bonuses this season. Though technically his cap hit is $1,654,167 a season (as it is total salary plus total potential bonuses diveded by # of years). However if he doesn't reach his bonuses they don't count against the cap.
http://www.capgeek.com/players/displ...d=105417&pos=F

Giroux gets paid $821,667 a year, with no bonuses.

Goalies: Ray Emery, Brian Boucher.

Flyers are playing without Lappy, Asham and Betts

Hopefully Syvret outplays Jones at some point of this season.
Here's my guess at the lines:

Gagne-Richards-JVR
Hartnell-Carter-Pyorala
Kaspar-Giroux-Briere
Ward-Powe-Carcillo

Timonen-Coburn
Carle-Pronger
Syvret-Parent

Emery
Boucher

I actually like it. Im excited to see how Pyorala/Kaspar/Syvret play on their respected lines. This is pretty much our starting line missing a few, so we better win this. Also I see Maroon isnt playing.

EDIT: Actually, look at how the players are posted. Maybe thats the actual lineup.

Simon Gagne, Mike Richards, Lukas Kaspar,
Scott Hartnell, Jeff Carter, Danny Briere,
James van Riemsdyk, Claude Giroux, Mika Pyorala,
Dan Carcillo, Darroll Powe, Jason Ward.

Chris Pronger, Matt Carle,
Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn,
Ryan Parent, Danny Syvret.

Random question...

Anyone have a guess as to how long it takes to get from Pattison to City Hall on the Orange line?

I'm trying to decide if I want to take the train or drive tonight, and if I take the train I REALLY don't want to miss the train home that I need.

Since CI is free for all right now, I can not get any games listed on my guide. Any Canadian fans have an idea if we are getting it and what channel ( Bell ) ???

Two many issues effect this.

1. After the Flyers games sometimes the subway waits til the train is PACKED before it leaves, which can make that whole sequence to last 45 minutes.

2. If you get on express it is a 10 minute ride. Also waits to get filled tho

3. If you get on local, its about a 20 minute ride I would say.

We'll see a different lineup on Oct.2 for sure. Have you noticed that all the tough guys are out except Carcillo? That's because the sissys are in town, no need for the fighters. Stevens wants to save them for the Devils.

Also depends if one of the other teams are playing or if there's a concert. The subway is bedlam if there is. But, I'd say 30 minutes is a good bet.

There is nothing worse than getting there right when the express takes off.

Minus a few role guys, that's basically our lineup. They want to win a game, especially the Philly debut of Pronger & Emery. Sounds like a good game to be going to to me.

WOW, if we lose tonight, I want Stevens fired on the spot.

Bertuzzi??

Stevens did it again, he removes all our scrappers and the Red Wings put on all the toughness they got. Newbury and Tardiff are also very physical. We better dress Cote, cuz they're gonna kill Carcillo...well maybe just as good
