Players shown with a yellow background and denoted with SR indicate 18- and 19-year-old "slide risks" who will only count against the 50-man limit if they play more than 11 games with the NHL club. Contracts that fall beyond the 50-man limit (ordered by cap hit) are denoted with a blue background. Performance bonuses are the amount the player is eligible for in 2009-2010.

I felt that Schenn should be signed! Interesting to see fans negative postings about Clune and the positive postings about Clifford, both of which play a similar role!
Clifford is projected to be much better than Clune and will not make the team this year - there is still much room for improvement. Clifford has potential to be more than a fourth liner - Clune does not. Also, there is a whole thread right now praising the fact that we got Clune so I don't see that many viewing Clune so negatively.
