I thought for sure Munoz would go higher than last year (#11)...but that's just me. The gap between him and the #2 O-lineman is pretty high IMO. Excellent pick.

Interesting comparing the first 10 picks of this year with the last ATD. White and Jones swap spots, and Lilly (OK, not top 10) moves up 6 places.

He is the best left tackle if not offensive lineman of all-time. If I'm starting a team, I'm starting it by putting the best offensive-lineman ever into the trenches.

IMO a great offensive line can make all the difference. it doesn't matter who you have at the skill positions if you don't have a line, and left tackle is obviously the most important. We were very pleased, and surprised when Mr. Munoz was still available at our pick.

With the 14th overall pick in the NFL ATD, it is only fitting that the Deadwood Gunslingers are proud to select, from Texas Christian University by way of Temple, Texas....

-Most seasons with lowest interception percentage (5)
-Holds record for career punting average, including the best and 3rd best single season marks

Grabbed Baugh last time. Fantastic pick, because now you don't have to worry about picking a punter--so basically you get another bench spot.

Thanks. After I made my two picks I looked back and saw I almost mirrored your two picks as well. For my second pick, I was down to Butkus and Joe Greene but went with the MLB.

Ellis, you might want to put the position of each player on the draft list.

Ahh Barry Sanders, the man who would've done more had his offensive line not been there. Was down to him or Parker for my last pick, but ended up going with the big guy.

You guys were asking for JCD, so I sent him a PM and he agreed to take Wild Thing's spot. Whenever he has a chance he can make up for that first missed pick.

One of the more impressive things about Sanders is he racked up All-Pro seasons in a Run-and-shoot offence.

Wow did it take me a good 30 mins to settle on this pick- had 3-4 players in mind but I couldn't pass up the versatility without even a drop in all-pro play : The Guns Of Hoculi select USC famed Alum and 49er HOF:
CB/S Ronnie Lott

As per the last pick- detailed write ups will appear after the conclusion of the draft.

The Philadelphia Eagles, building on their philosophy of defense first, happily select the best and hardest hitting cornerback in NFL history, Dick "Night Train" Lane

Was seriously considering Lane since it appears he was dropping compared to the last draft, but still glad to stick with my original target:

#58 MLB Jack Lambert

-11 Seasons (Pittsburgh Steelers)
-9x Pro-Bowl Selection
-7x 1st Team All-Pro (1x 2nd)
-4x Super Bowl Champion
-NFL 75th Anniversary Team
-1970s NFL All-Decade Team
-1980s NFL All-Decade Team
-Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 1990
-1974 Defensive Rookie of the Year
-1976 Defensive Player of the Year
-#58 no longer in the Steelers rotation. So good in fact, he's the one who had the number retired, and no one messed with him.
-20/20 Club
-Named 'Toughest Player of All-Time' by The Sports List (for what they're worth)
-Steelers Team Captain for 8 Years
-You seriously don't want to piss this guy off, I mean just look at him.

http://steelersfootball.org/jack-lam...-hall-of-famer

Quote:
During games, one could see him playing with his front teeth gone. Out in the public he’d wear his removable partial denture to conceal the 4 front upper teeth which were missing (knocked out while playing basketball during high school years). His toothless smirk/growl face during the games showed some of his known hard intensity which made him an all-pro/hall of fame linebacker for the famous Iron Curtain Pittsburgh Steeler defense. He was a hard, hard, hard hitter & intimidator – boy the league’s offenses knew it – wideout, halfback & qb, where the main targets of this wrath. In 1976, Stud Mean Joe Greene missed some games due to a back injury – thus vaulting Lambert to become the new leader of the Steelers vaunted Iron Curtain defense. That 1976 Steelers team is considered by many as the greatest defense of all time – leading the league in practically all defensive categories. The season didn’t start off so well, the team struggled to 1-4 record after QB _________ & other starters missed games due to injury – with practically 1/3rd of the season gone, most would think the season is over. Not so fast, the players decided in a player’s only meeting that the only way to succeed was to “the only way we are going to the playoffs to defend our title is to win them all from here out” spoken by Lambert. Thus the genesis of a 9 game ass-kicking run, the Iron Curtain defense was in shut down mode (shutting down the oppositions offenses that is). During the 9 game run – Steelers defense shut out 5 teams & only allowed a meager 2 TD’s (unbelievable then or now for that matter). The opponents averaged 3 points per game during this run – with the Steelers winning all 9 games. With a 10-4 record, they made the playoffs & capped off with a 21-17 win in Super Bowl X against (so-called America’s team) the Dallas Cowboys. No good deed goes unpunished, as the Lead dog in the Iron Curtain for 1976 was given his due, winning the 1976 NFL Defensive player of the year award. So awesome was that Steelers defense that of the 11 starters, 8 made the prow bowl that year (talk about talent on 1 side of the ball – scary).
Don't know why they keep calling it the 'Iron Curtain' though.
