Your not going to get your ass kicked just for the jersey you are wearing.

You have to do something to merit an ass kicking, like being an *******.

You'll be fine, especially if it says Richards on it.

You'll be fine. Most Americans don't really care about Olympic hockey anyway.

Wait a sec, get your ass kicked by wearing a Richards jersey?

Ugh, yeah, you should be ok, haha. I think most fans realize Richie is Canadian.

In all honesty if you're in the nose bleeds or around a bunch of drunk 18-25 year olds with any jersey but the Flyers you'll get hassled. Just don't react by being a dick and you'll be fine.

If its a Richards jersey though, you will be fine.

No worries. Opposing teams get heckled at but nothing serious comes out unless you've acted to the point where you deserve it. If it has Richards on it, shouldn't be a problem. No one is gonna get on you for being proud of your country, especially if you're still cheering for the Flyers.

If you're worried, wear a Flyers hat or something.

Most people won't even bat an eye... it's a Flyers game, not an Olympic game.

There's nothing wrong with being a Canadian Flyers fan... if you were thinking about wearing a Canada jersey with Crosby on the back then, yeah... you would have something to worry about.

im not from philly, but the general rule is this... cheer for philly, your fine. be a devils fan and you get choked and beaten.

since you are going there to cheer for the flyers you should be ok.

Cheering for away teams won't get you beaten up. You may get yelled at, but if you ignore it and cheer for your team and not be an ******* you'll be fine. I've gone with Devils, Rangers, and Leafs fans, all of which survived for mostly intact.

I think most people understand. It's like wearing an all star jersey. Unless they mistake the red for devils. And Richards for Brad Richards. On second thought...

You'll be fine. The jerseys that do require a double take are when people wear a Richards jersey from his days with the Kitchener Rangers, especially if it's a Flyers/NYR game.

last time i was in philly i was brutally beaten and thrown into traffic because i was only wearing one flyers jersey. dress code for the city is a minimum of three(3) jerseys worn over each other, or as pants if necessary. i cant find the city ordinance that names the punishment for wearing a canada jersey, but i imagine its severe.

Just becareful if there's snow outside, because they will throw snowballs at you. They threw snowballs at Santa they'll certainly throw snowballs at someone wearing a Richards jersey.

I've been to many Flyers games in Philly wearing Flyers gear and Penguins gear. The only time I have seen anything that wasn't just friendly banter between the fans was a drunk 18-25 year old or an opposing team fan acting like a dick.

The biggest misconception about Philly is that if you go to game as a fan of the other team you will get beat.

You don't wear a jersey as pants, you wear Cooperalls. Come on, get it straight.
