Pick ONE: Perron, Berglund, or Oshie
Youngest to oldest, with ages and draft positions/years:
David Perron - age 21 (#26, 2007)
Patrik Berglund - age 21 (#25, 2006)
T.J. Oshie - age 22 (#24, 2005)
Might have been done before, but I'm curious so let's do it again.
Not sure this fits perfectly in the Prospects forum but they're all still pretty young and Perron is the vet here with 143 games played.
I have a feeling I know which one Blues fans would pick if they had to (good thing they don't), but I'm interested to see how this goes.
For the sake of argument let's disregard the current and potentially future contracts, and look at them as players alone.

Perron has the highest overall point ceiling, but I think Oshie might become the best overall player. Berglund will be the best goal scorer.

Berglund over Oshie, but this is like making me choose between my children.

Berglund by a wide margin, IMO. I wish LA had drafted him instead of Trevor Lewis.

I'd take Oshie. He is the type of player that wins cups. If Perron keeps improving at the rate he has been, I might be very wrong for selecting Oshie. Oshie just doesn't have any weaknesses to his game and competes so hard.

Oshie is the least replaceable IMO.

Blues fan.
Perron
Berglund
Oshie
If I imagine I'm a fan of another team, it's probably more like:
Berglund
Oshie/Perron

I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or not, and it worries me.

In admittedly limited viewing.
Berglund
Oshie
Perron
Give me the big Swede center. They're all going to be fun to watch mature together though. On a small side note, when I was looking up their stats from 08-09 all three were +13 or better, while the notable veterans on the team (Boyes, McDonald, Tkachuk) were -20,-13, -11. I'd say the future looks bright in St. Louis.

Berglund by a fair margin. The other 2 are a toss up after that.

TJ Oshie.
but its tough. But even now I would feel comfortable putting him into any game-time position. 'tender aside, of course.

I agree, Oshie has always struck me as a winner and thats not an impression i'm left with often.

Perron was easily the best Blues forward in the playoffs this year. He worked and played much harder than Oshie. Berglund was invisible.
But for excitement's sake, I'll take Oshie.

Oshie is the sexy pick here, but I'd probably go with Berglund.
