Forsberg signs try-out contract with Modo

http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportblade...icle5842042.ab

They basically asked him if he wanted to play and he said why not.
The contract is over 1 week which makes it possible for him to play in the NHL if his foot feels ok.

Would love to see him back in this league. Although, he must be like bionic man, by now.

Thanks for the link.

I can never root against an all-time great attempting to come back. I'm not silly enough to only remember greats at the end of their careers, so best of luck "Foppa".

Forsberg is one of my all-time favs.

Getting him back in Philly would be a dream.

Sadly, it is likely only a dream. I did move him from Modo to FA in NHL 10, so I got him in my Be A GM dynasty.

Maybe Forsberg wants to see if can still play at a high enough level to contribute in the Olympics.

If he's healthy he can always compete at the highest level. he's just not healthy for very long periods of time.

Thats what i was suggesting he try competetive hockey to find out. Not even those who despise Forsberg would question his talent.

Ya that's what I'm thinking. He clearly can't handle the rigors of an 82 game campaign in the NHL. I wish him all the luck, though. The epitome of dedication.

I hope he can stay healthy and return to the NHL - he's one of those players who just has "it".

I, for one, hope he tries and tries and tries until the doctors (or himself) are 100% sure that he can't play.

Gonna be a treat to watch Frölunda-MODO tomorrow.

For who? You? Does it offend your sensibilites, upset your day, if the man wishes to continue to pursue his life's work?

How about you quit your profession? You know, let it go. Please. It bugs us.

For the sake of people who appreciate great hockey players, here's hoping he comes back.
