In addition to http://atdhe.net/ you can also try the following - you never know where you will get the best reception until you try them on any given night.

http://www.channelsurfing.net/
http://www.justin.tv/furbmeister60
http://www.freedocast.com/wylde
http://www.surfthechannel.com/
http://streamick.com/
http://www.ustream.tv/discovery/live/sports

And I am sure there are others. Good luck with "Hockey Night in Australia". I know when I was working in Mexico, I was very happy to have "Hockey Night in Mexico" with Domino's thin crust pizza with lots of chilies and a couple of cervezas.

These guys have links to all NHL games on any given night.

http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nhl-icehockey/

Some will require you to use SopCast or Stream Torrent (see forum for more info).

I'm thinking about buying an Ipod touch, but before I do that I'd like to know if it's possible to watch a stream from atdhe or hockeywebcasts or any other site on an ipod touch... I tried it with my friend's ipod and only thing I had was a cube with a question mark on it instead of the stream window...

That cube is a placemarker indicating you need to download Flash.
Most sites use Flash based media players, and Flash is not available on the iPhone OS.

I've yet to find a streaming site for hockey games on my iPod. Bummer....

Most cell phones don't have flash, I know its dumb. I figure its probably because the amount of resources flash would require.

NHL GameCenter Live is free until October 24th. You should register there (you don't need a credit card or anything). The stream is in HD and you can watch multiple games at once.

cbc streams habs games when they play saturdays. I don't know if there are any regional restrictions (ie you wouldn't be able to stream it outside of Canada) or not.

Really, I think I might purchase it. I like atdhe.net but the streams are a little to choppy for hockey Is hockeystreams choppy at all, or is it almost like tv with worse quality?

Hey mate, I'm living in Oz now too! It's a pain to catch the games in the morning, especially with the supper slow internet they have hear.

Glad to know I'm not the only Habs fan in Oz!

oh well, i learned tonight that i can hook up the laptop to the tv and have one game streaming, while the game on tv is off to the side. i got to see the habs win and leafs fail all at the same time!
